I worked at Outback Steakhouse part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

50% discount on and off the clock

    Cons

Terrible organization, management has no idea how to prioritize, way too much front of house staff, kitchen is too slow, tip share amount to bartenders is ridiculous because you just run their food and everyone else's all night

    Advice to Management

Learn how to prioritize, put more attention on kitchen to ensure shorter guest wait times

I worked at Outback Steakhouse part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Flexible scheduling and use of HotSchedules app

    Cons

As a host and to-go you get paid $2.13 / hour..... as a host you get tip-out and as for to-go you get the tips you earn.... i was in a slow store so usually made less than minimum wage every shift even after tip out or my earned tips.

    Advice to Management

    Pay your employees

I have been working at Outback Steakhouse part-time

    Pros

Cash in hand every night, meet friends, discounted food

    Cons

Stressful, customers can be very unreasonable, unreliable management, your pay is determined by others actions (i.e. the cooks, servers, etc.), late hours

    Advice to Management

Stop comping so much food and pay attention to the employees as much as the customers. A restaurant can't function if all of the staff wants to quit/has already quit.

I have been working at Outback Steakhouse part-time

    Pros

You can make a lot of money when it gets really busy. It is not a hard job and it is something you can learn fairly quickly.

    Cons

Some of the people there are not the easiest people to work with. It can be a very stressful environment when busy.

    Advice to Management

I feel like some of the managers do not take their job seriously, I feel like they could put in a little more effort into their jobs.

I worked at Outback Steakhouse full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Great people to work with, (most managers are awesome)

    Cons

People come in looking to complain about something to manifest a reason for a free meal and bad tip. They are aware Outback Steakhouse will do ANYTHING to keep them happy, so the com in bitchin' and moaning about everything and will run the server ragged.

    Advice to Management

I hate the greed in corporate management. If they paid ALL the people that work their butts off fairly, they wouldn't need to have a sign permanently painted on the door: "We're Hiring"! That is a red flag.
