    I worked at Outcome Concept Systems full-time

    Pros

    The team was really committed to doing the right thing. They had a pretty great vision and managed with limited resources.

    Cons

    Resources were limited. Some middle managers were not as professional as they should be

    Advice to Management

    You should have gotten funding earlier in the process so you could invest in the future.

    Pros

    Good work/life balance
    Generally friendly atmosphere

    Cons

    Management is terribly incompetent
    Stagnant growth for years
    Common practice of selling software/services that don't yet exist, and then rushes to try to build
    Pays only a fraction of what you can find elsewhere in the marketplace

    Advice to Management

    The owners are entrepreneurs, not managers. They grew the company organically at first on a good idea, but failed terribly at managing once the company attained a base level of customers. They need to turn the company over to a team of managers that actually know how to run and grow a business successfully.

    Flexible work schedule and a good location

    Pros

    Flexibility in work/life balance, location, the people were really good to work with, most aspects of the culture, interesting industry and technology

    Cons

    Not so good communication, managment not necessarily well focused on 'the actual business', corp structure and initiatives are secondary or less to what is happening now or next week - long term planning not valued.

    Advice to Management

    Develop a plan for growth with input from the employees, and publish it. The check in on progress.
