    Negative Outlook

I worked at Overture Partners as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

W2 or C2C available, along with direct deposit. Access to good opportunities once and awhile on rare occasion.

    Cons

They'll tell you anything to get your submission but lie and string you along, then fail to tell you that internal politics and favoritism overcame ability and performance.

    Advice to Management

Recommend and promote candidates and staff based on experience and objective capabilities rather than subjective favoritism and butt-kissing. Keep your people informed and keep your promises by following up.

    Positive Outlook

    Pros

Overture provided great support from initial indications of interest all through last pay and tax returns. Staff was pleasant and professional at every contact. Pay issues, if any, we're always resolved quickly and fairly. My favorite.

    Cons

None noticed. If anything, i'd like them to have every gig on the planet available.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the successful operating formula!

    Pros

Spent time to get to know you and meet with you to discuss contract every so often. Social gatherings for contractors off-hours. Nice people not just a meat market job shop which is what so many of these placement companies have turned into (regrettably).

    Cons

None that I can think of.

    Advice to Management

Do what you need to do to keep your good recruiters happy and engaged

    Positive Outlook

I have been working at Overture Partners as a contractor (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Overture Partners has committed staffing personnel who work hard to find suitable assignments for experienced IT consulting professionals. The staffing personnel considers the consultant's experience and interest.

    Cons

In general, the IT consulting market can be really competitive. For this reason, any staffing service has to work hard to find a good fit for IT professionals.

    Advice to Management

Continue to be proactive in assessing the marketplace. In this tough economy, the experience and commitment of Overture staffing personnel makes a big difference.

I worked at Overture Partners full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Very direct and honest. They treat everyone as if they are part of the family no matter what role they place you in. They will go the extra mile for you and once your contract ends, they will work until they have another for you. They are excellent about keeping in touch and will consistently meet with you for lunch.

    Cons

The only negative is that they focus mostly on contract opportunities. Their website can be difficult to navigate and they do not post all of their openings there.

    Advice to Management

    Keep your employee first focus
