Good company , terrible culture

Good pay and benefits for Toledo area. They do respect a good work life balance and let you work from home for the most part
Cons
Company has gone super woke. You can’t go two steps without some propaganda being forced down your throat.

Pay is great, culture and job responsibilities are terrible

Very good pay for the area
Cons
Culture is terrible! Senior leadership are contradictory and hold you to higher standards then they hold themselves. Yelling and bereding their team is the only way they know how to 'drive results'. You are constantly in fear of being fired/ scolded for under performing regardless of how hard you word and how much you try to follow leader's requests. Free thinking is unwelcomed and makes management uncomfortable. Work life balance is also terrible! Having a spouse/children/other responsibilities is NOT possible in this facility. In fact, you will be made to feel like a poor employee for standing up for your family's needs on evenings/weekends.

Great Summer Internship
Aug 4, 2015 - Manufacturing Engineer InternRecommendCEO ApprovalBusiness OutlookPros
Unlike other internships I have had Owens Corning provided me with meaningful projects. I could see the value of work life balance in those that worked full time. Lots of room to develop and move up in the company.
Cons
Despite being work life balance, the lines are running around the clock so one could end up being called in on the weekend or nights.

Oh what a difference a new leader and team can make.

Some managers are great. Others are simply new and create a huge disparity amongst employees. I've had numerous great experiences and one bad with a new leader, new HR, and a new business. My career was advancing quickly and has since stalled. We aren't looking for outcomes but looking for doing it as prescribed. We've lost that entrepreneurial spirit.
Cons
Poor oversight into parity in work/life balance and performance management.

You get paid what you're worth and the work life balance is excellent here. Medical office, gym, cafe, credit union and market on site which is very convenient.
Cons
Not many except for some of the leadership - literally don't know how a few of these people were given the opportunity to lead people. It's embarrassing.
