I have been working at Owens Corning full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Great career growth and development, ability to seek out and focus on work you are most interested in, competitive pay, 401(k) & healthcare, and being part of a company that truly cares about its employees and seeks to live its mission

    Cons

Work life balance can be difficult to attain at times, we have a group of passionate and dedicated people but that sometimes means you give up a few nights or a weekend. Overall, I am very satisfied and believe you can control some of the work/life balance issues that arise

I worked at Owens Corning full-time

    Pros

There are some wonderful perks: On-site doctor, gym, dry cleaning, cafeteria, and coffee shop. People can be friendly.

    Cons

Some departments and/or leaders expect hours well beyond 40 making work-life balance difficult. Nights, weekends, and vacation days are often spent working.

I have been working at Owens Corning full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

Great company that promotes healthy living, community involvement, sustainability and personal development. On site fitness center, food cafe and market, physician, dry cleaning and credit union. Most departments offer flexibility with work life balance.

    Cons

Promotes diversity but top management mainly white males.

    Pros

Decent pay and overtime as much as you want

    Cons

Culture of blame the operator not the machines. Work life balance is a major issue.

I have been working at Owens Corning full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Access to on-site Health Clinic, workout room, Starbucks, and Directions Credit Union. Benefits are not bad but not great. Wonderful people to work with but seems most are unhappy in their roles. Toledo is a decent place to bring up a family, unfortunately, there just isn't much to do. There is a good work/life balance depending on your supervisor.

    Cons

There is constantly restructuring and not a lot of consistency. People move often because jobs become mundane--but let's face it there is nothing glamorous about the products they sell. Owens Corning does their best to keep employees engaged but fail when it comes to development plans. HR isn't your best friend and fail to keep matters confidential (you've been warned).

I worked at Owens Corning full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Great company that is profitable and well run. Beautiful headquarters office with lots of amenities. Well above average focus on employee development and challenging work - plentiful opportunity to grow and develop yourself professionally.

    Cons

Moving up in the organization can be quite political and the work-life balance is really rough the higher up you go. Lots of people fail at the director level in Finance.
