    Pros

    Awesome co workers. Easy work.

    Cons

The worst management I've ever seen. Didn't care if we worked from 1pm to 6 am. All they cared about was themselves.

    Advice to Management

    Get new management.

I have been working at Owens & Minor full-time

    Pros

    - The warehouse coordinators take their job very seriously and enjoy what they do.
    - The salary is a little above industry average.

    Cons

    - Very long days, I have seen 16-hour work days.
    - Health benefits especially but all benefits are horrible
    - Productivity comes before safety and quality
    - Owens & Minor continues to take benefits and perks from the teammates
    - little promotion oppertunities

    Advice to Management

understand that happy employees, perform the best. Money is not the best motivator for people, they want to know that their families are taken care of if they get sick. When summer comes that we don't cancel their summer picnic because we do not want to pay for it anymore.

I worked at Owens & Minor full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

running out of business to lose.

    Cons

No longer allowed to be an expert and drive results. We are going to be a Lean organization and do, it this way. I guess you have to try something if you are not going to create an accountable organization and continue to lose business.

    Advice to Management

Try being a leader and not a follower: fiddled away the opportunity to buy the #1 CPT mfg, and bought a 3rd rate one. Using the same strategy for the Home Delivery business now, only the future path of the industry.

    Pros

Decent benefits and friendly co workers

    Cons

Massive overtime, insane shift start times, low wages, and minimum raises.

    Advice to Management

Pay your employees more, and hire more employees to cut down overtime. Quit promoting employees based off their looks and who they know, instead of their work experience and work ethic.

I worked at Owens & Minor full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

You will always get your hours and If you like overtime, there will be so much it will make your head spin.

    Cons

Not enough employees, wages way too low for the work they expect us to do, they ask for very very long shifts, they took away our 1 holiday party we have a year, they don't buy us lunch/dinner anymore like they used to every other month, In fact they don't do much of anything for us anymore, all about penny pinching, very strict bonus goals for a company that makes billions, they are slowly taking away bonuses and perks, outdated equipment, MED system is a joke, management doesn't understand what they put people through, they don't know how to train new employees, all about cut backs so they can make more money and we make less, they award everything to seniority, I don't see my family during the week because they forced me into a position I didn't want, they don't know how to backfill positions, they are ALWAYS short staffed, new management has turned our warehouse into a revolving door. Was once a great place to work, now it is terrible. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere for a company that will respect you.

    Advice to Management

Resign and let's get new management that knows how to run a company and turn this place back into the great company it used to be 5 years ago.

I have been working at Owens & Minor full-time

    Pros

Really nice employees. Very knowledgeable about their jobs, truly care about their customers, service level. Nice to work with people with strong work ethic.

    Cons

Company transitioning to an impersonal service model. Cutting hundreds of locally dedicated service support teammates across the country.

    Advice to Management

Maintain the standards of account maintenance & local quality service. Customers prefer to do business with large companies that with local, dedicated service providers. There is too much talent you are throwing away.
