I have been working at Oxford Gene Technology full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

It is a small company, that somehow is still able to compete with the giants in the field.
They are open about their decisions and you can talk to everyone in the company from your colleague to the CEO and expose your views and affect changes.

Flexible working hours (Flexi-time) is good
    Nice benefits package.

    Cons

One of its pros, is also a con. Being a small company, the range of projects and career progression within the company is not always easy and/or feasible.

    Advice to Management

The inflexibility on adopting new technologies for work and collaboration is an issue, especially for a small company that should remain agile to be able to respond quickly to the changing competitive landscape

I worked at Oxford Gene Technology full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The company culture at OGT is excellent. My colleagues were all incredibly bright, engaging, and good at their jobs. I was able to learn from them and develop a range of new skills. All members of my team were encouraged to own projects and share the success of these with the whole company.

    Cons

The communication could be challenging given the number of teams working on separate projects, across multiple locations.

    Advice to Management

    Communicate regularly.
