    Pros

Great discount on clothing! A couple of interesting brands in the company's portfolio, including Tommy Bahama and Lilly Pulitzer.

    Cons

Very, very poor upper management at all levels; absolutely no leadership or vision; the company is run top-down like a military establishment; good old boy's network of mostly southern Caucasian males at the top; penny wise, pound foolish; company is immune to sensible business practices except for cost-cutting measures, which always affected mid to lower level employees, never upper management.

    Pros

Competitive pay, good benefits, small company so recognition is always there

    Cons

Same problems were still happening from the day I got there to the day I left. There is a big disconnect between territories in how they do standard oppoeration procedures.

    Advice to Management

Really get back to basics. More visits from senior management across to the states to check on things and employees

I have been working at Oxford Industries full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

they have flexible hours, can work 10 hours a day and then have Friday off

    Cons

Bad management, little to no leadership, good ol'boy network, keep cutting benefits, They do not value experience - they cut people with senority to save money.. Twice the work for half the money.

    Advice to Management

Treat people fairly, unbiased HR, better benefits, be more professional!!!!!!!! Get pay in line with what other companies are paying for same job.

    Pros

Ben Sherman is the only retail store to date that I would ever go back to. The store in SoHo NY has about 30-35 employees, tops, and only a handful of managers. Everyone knows each other, are respectful, and the atmosphere is laid back unless it gets busy. The crowd that would frequent this location is mostly tourists because its situated on Broadway. You do have to wear Ben Sherman clothing, but every season you get an allotment and are rewarded with good sales with gift cards. Also, Ben Sherman occasionally hosts cool parties with DJs and drinks that the employees "work" at...Good Times!
Salary to start is very fair, and competitive to your experience.

    Cons

They used to have decent break times for 6 hour shifts, with a half hour for break and 10 minute breaks. But they did away with the extra breaks halfway through my time there with a corporate management turn over.

    Advice to Management

Keep treating the employees with respect and they'll love you for it.
