I have been working at P.A.M. Transportation full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I have great supervisors and my co-workers are great to work with. The department I am in works good as a team.

    Cons

Communication from management to employees could be better. When organizational changes occurred, employees were not told about it. This created anxiety with some employees about the future of their jobs.

    Advice to Management

Letting employees know about organizational changes even after they happen will help to improve trust and a sense of inclusion.

    Pros

They had brand new equipment which was very well maintained an great benefits. Very good staff an dispatch team. Great experience for the most part.

    Cons

You don't get to be home very much. Layover pay was not very good between loads. Owner operators never fix or write up trailers to be repaired.

    Advice to Management

Just remember that each person tries hard to do the best job they can living out on the road, every person handles the life differently. Be understanding.

I have been working at P.A.M. Transportation full-time

    Pros

Pay is great and so is the work schedule. I feel like I have a good work/life balance and overtime is an option even as a Manager. PAM seems to genuinely care about their drivers and employees. That is not something you find too often with Logistics Companies

    Cons

Working 12 hour shifts can be hard but I enjoy the time off I get. 3 Days plus vacation time.

I have been working at P.A.M. Transportation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great miles of you establish yourself as dependable driver and run hard and legal. They will keep you running if you are dependable.

    Cons

More cents per mile pay, or better benefits like, frig, tv with direct tv, satellite radio...basically keeping up with benefits that other large companies are offering

    Advice to Management

Improve the driver facilities!! Fire the cleaning crews that supposedly do the cleaning of the driver facilities because they DO NOT CLEAN THEM, BUT YET YOU PAY THEM

I worked at P.A.M. Transportation full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Things start off slow but get better as time goes.being a mentor really boosts the pay up for their drivers. For a starter company not a bad company

    Cons

Starting out is,kinda slow but if,you show, them you are ready to drive they will keep you moving.worked for them a year and made around $45000.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to keep in touch with drivers a lot more than they do.also need to make driver managers answer phones more often

I have been working at P.A.M. Transportation (Less than a year)

    Pros

Still enjoy driving everywhere. Great equipment.

    Cons

There is a lot of information thrown at you. One school says do it this way, then in orientation, you are told to do it another way. Truth is, learn what you can , time will teach you the rest

    Advice to Management

Need a more consistent approach to school, orientation, and training.
