I worked at PAS (Houston) full-time

    Pros

I worked at PAS for several years; the owner is sincere, most of the managers are good to work for, and the work is interesting.

    Cons

There is always a shuffle of management at the top, there is very little concern for employee growth, and they have had more than one layoffs due to a slowdown in business.

    Advice to Management

Laying Engineers off is ultimately bad for recruitment. There needs to be a sea-change on how people are recruited and trained.

I worked at PAS (Houston) full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

No politics, no micro management. small friendly environment

    Cons

On Monday executive told business is booming, on Friday that same week it fired 28 people (1/3 company employees) without a warning shot. The performance appraisal process is in place, but it really is a joke. Bonus is a rare commodity there, insurance used to be OK, not anymore.

I worked at PAS (Houston) full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

A good stepping stone to start your career.
Some of the people are alright.
If you don't like to be challenged, good place to work.

    Cons

Extremely low pay. Poor/nonexistent training. Ineffective work processes. Management focuses on numbers only, but focuses on the wrong numbers. There's a lot of middle management and it's not clear what they do. Way too many chieftains not enough Indians. Cannot identify the talent they have versus waste.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your employees.

    Pros

I can't really think of any pros other than in a bad economy, it was a job. The particular manager I had at the time was great

    Cons

Executive management was bad. It became a sweat shop. It was all about the numbers, but it had to be achieved without the proper resources at times. I really hated my time there, but it was a job

    Advice to Management

I don't think there is anything I could say that would make a difference
