I worked at PFSweb (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Opportunities for growth if you apply yourself and plenty of overtime during Q4. Hard work does not go unnoticed.

    Cons

Talent acquisition process needs work. It's like they do a cattle call hiring event for holidays. People steal your lunches out of the community refrigerator and some of the managers that have been their a long time have their favorites who can do no wrong (P&G account is notorious for drama from management down to agents.

    Advice to Management

If you are afraid of hard work, then you don't deserve to be in management. A true leader is not afraid to jump on the front line when necessary to get the job done. A true leader would not turn a blind eye to an employee's errors just because they are friends.

I worked at PFSweb as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Laid back atmosphere at smaller company acquired by PFSWeb, Inc

    Cons

Publicly traded, multi-national company, with all the impersonal hallmarks of a large company.

    Advice to Management

People are not numbers and your big resume does not mean others are beneath you. Find a way to treat your subordinates with more respect.

    Pros

Work from home 100%, exposure to different projects and platforms, yearly company conference, great team members

    Cons

Lots of Mgmt change, acquisition by PFSWeb, working all the time to meet deadlines, being called in from vacation, unrealistic guidelines for promotion/bonus policies, recent change of health care benefits and 401K, requesting PTO is like 3+ levels of approval and ensuring you have a backfill, recently moving to very strict/process-orientated organization, lots of turnover

    Advice to Management

Figure out why you're losing so many good people who are jumping ship

I have been working at PFSweb full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Relaxed environment, flexible schedules, casual dress code, a diverse group of employees, and many big-name clients.

    Cons

Our department is under-staffed, and most of us are expected to work nights and weekends to meet unrealistic deadlines.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at PFSweb as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

I came upon this job using an employment agency. I was told it would be 2 weeks around Thanksgiving with the option of a few days after Christmas. We got paid full fare for the training days, which was three 8 hour days.

    Cons

Once we got live time on the floor, we had way too many people than calls coming in. We were only trained to assist people in placing internet orders, not customer service. I routinely would go up there for an 8 hour shift and be sent home after 45 minutes.

    Advice to Management

Don't waste 3 days training people on how to place internet orders. Identify what you need (customer service) and train the temp employees on handling those issues.
