I worked at PG Professional Golf full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The people there are great to work with. If you are a golfer it is a great environment to be in.

    Cons

The main con is that there is NO training. If you need to know how to do something you have to ask a lot of questions and hope someone around you knows how to do it. The golf industry is also in a state of stagnation which makes things difficult for the entire company.

    Advice to Management

Train your employees, and look into better ways of doing business.

    Pros

You can learn about golf balls

    Cons

No work/life balance- 90-120 hour workweeks are bare minimum
    Low pay
    Management is not supportive
    Accounting leadership exploits employees
Management does not follow through on promises for promotions or raises
Interview promises are a pipe dream

    Advice to Management

Develop your leaders rather than allowing them to pass the blame on to their inferiors. Evaluate employees work hours and treatment to determine what is fair. Give managers sensitivity training to avoid a hostile work environment

I worked at PG Professional Golf full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is not much good to say about the company to be honest

    Cons

Where do I begin. The Management is immoral. The workers are not paid overtime. Fear is the best weapon in this environment. If you do not want to be psychologically scared for the rest of your life, avoid this place like a plague.

    Advice to Management

Just vanish somewhere, it would be better for all. Especially Accounting team

    Pros

Dress style is nice and relaxed

    Cons

Unresponsive management. You would get underpaid and work long hours without appropriate compensation.

    Advice to Management

Treat your best resource-employees better on many levels

    Pros

In the golf industry and it appears fun from the outside. Relaxed work place attire. All their sales are driven by inside sales.

    Cons

They expect you to work 12 + hours a day when they leave the office early every day. Even if you exceed the numbers it's not good enough. 40% returns are not enough.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach. Move out of the old fashion business management. Look at the bottom line and let it drive your business. You shouldn't have 8 people in accounting for a 15million dollar company. Accounting has more employees than sales. This is really backwards if you're looking to drive a multi million dollar company.

I have been working at PG Professional Golf full-time

    Pros

A few employees are nice and hardworking

    Cons

A lot of politics within management, very poor treatment of employees in terms of compensation and general appreciation, particularly in some departments. The company will do anything to squeeze profits and the employees will have to pay the price. Don't work for this company if you'd like your career to progress- choose a bigger one with more opportunities and more checks and balances

    Advice to Management

Change your Finance/ Accounting leadership and review other Managerial actions and decisions
