I have been working at PGA National Resort & Spa full-time

    Pros

I feel that many of the reviews are dependent on where you have worked in the resort. It's a large place so you're bound to have a mix of reviews.

The company has excellent benefits. You get tons of PTO, you have good healthcare benefits. The culture is great, I have a great time working here and I enjoy coming in to work every day. I feel comfortable voicing concerns if there are any, and when speaking to other managers I don't feel like I'm getting two-faced answers. I feel that there has been a lot of transparency. My experience may be different than others, because I feel that there have been so many opportunities to grow and learn and I have been more than happy to take advantage of them.

    Cons

The pay really could be better. I love my job, and I love the workplace culture, but unfortunately our competitors are paying between $2-4 an hour more for the same job that I do. This is disheartening, especially since PGA is the only golf resort of our kind in this specific area. They really could do better. With that, because of the low pay, I feel that sometimes we end up with employees that are not motivated to do a better job.

Otherwise, as far as cons, it's a resort. It's hospitality and it just isn't for everybody. Hotels aren't always an easy place to work.

    Advice to Management

Increase our pay, and hire better people. This is a great resort, let's hire GREAT staff! I've seen PGA lose a lot of great people. What good are the benefits if they aren't keeping people here?
