    Pros

Decent Pay, flexible schedule, telework option (if you're good)

    Cons

Lay offs, poor management, favoritism at it's finest, hard to talk to HR for job reference after you leave

    Advice to Management

Figure out why this company lays off so much.

I have been working at PHH Mortgage (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Salary is competitive and better than most lenders in the Region.

    Cons

too numerous to mention all - systems are very outdated, often down especially at month end when everyone is hustling, micro-managed, treated like a sweat shop employee.Major favoritism is common. Upper management is clueless as to all of the "broken" processes.

    Advice to Management

hire management that have at minimum, a bachelors degree. It is embarrassing to witness some of t he supervisors behaviors, not to mention the inability to speak and write proper English/Grammar. I think that some of the managers were recruited from a dark alley!

I worked at PHH Mortgage full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

No good reason to work for this company. The benefits are high. The 401k plan is the only good thing I can say

    Cons

Very high turnover. Even upper management seems unsure about this company's future. Very low morale. Constant fear of job loss.

    Advice to Management

I'm not sure what else there is to say other than what others have said below

I worked at PHH Mortgage (Less than a year)

    Pros

Pay, overtime opportunities, bonus, free dinner

    Cons

Management, benefits, not properly planning for the future, consistent lay offs

    Advice to Management

Train the people you currently have to handle a busy environment so when rates are low and refinances pick up, instead of hiring just to fire, the people you have can handle the pipelines, or hire temporary staff to assist so when the rates go up and business slows down, you aren't laying off people, just cutting the temporary staff

I worked at PHH Mortgage full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The free milk was nice, and when they remembered the popcorn was good. Truly one of the worst places I have ever worked regarding the manner in which they treat employees.

    Cons

Everything negative you read on here is TRUE and then some. Don't waste your time here unless you know someone and are part of the clique...goody for you to get paid because of who you know and not what you know.

    Advice to Management

Have none...they don't listen to anyone.

I worked at PHH Mortgage full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

There is no single reason to work there.

    Cons

Highly unethical place. This organization has a club that you need to get into before you get a job or move on. It is based primarily on race, nationality and religion or cocktail of all of these. All recent promotions should be investigated. Favoritism and nepotism rampant. Bribe is prevalent as well; I have witnessed. It is a disgrace to work for company as such.

    Advice to Management

Managers don't show respect or appreciation for employees; you're just a number. Are these people human?

I have been working at PHH Mortgage full-time

    Pros

At one time used to be a really good place to work

    Cons

Management didn't adapt to the ever changing market place. Due to there incompetence the business has struggled and they blame their employees for lack of foresight.

    Advice to Management

It needs to be overhauled entirely from Director and up. There are many bright people who work here. None of which are responsible for making decisions.

We get threatened with our job everyday, yet we have a vp who twice has sent a confidential email listing the employees who will be layed. He kept his job and title and yet we get given final warnings for human errors that are part of the job?

I worked at PHH Mortgage full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

very few. I got paid, overtime was allowed almost required due to incredible workload

    Cons

Started in training class of 40, within 6 months only 2 of us were left and inherited all the unfinished, problem filled loans of others. Team Managers are overworked and aloof but have earned LOTS of time off so teams are always answering to another overworked and aloof TM. You'll get to endure countless pep rallies from managers putting on a show for top management but there is free food for all of the late nights you'll spend trying to catch up in scheduled OT sessions. Most obese and stressed out employees Ive ever been around.

    Advice to Management

You dont get it never have never will and the ratings here show it.
