I worked at PMAC Lending Services full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I appreciated that we were paperless and allowed me to work from satellite office only a few miles from my home vs. driving 75 miles one way to corporate office.
My team was small, demanding, and #1 every year, give or take a month here and there.
The UW were great to work with, I learned a lot about Gov't loans, guidelines, compliance, wet and dry states and doc signing rules, regulations and coordinate with different time zones, and cut offs.
I felt like I was helping people with their dreams of home ownership, clients build trust with me and the company and having the hard work feel rewarding.

    Cons

There are times when the volume was very intense, and the customer service would get cut short to make more time reviewing, signing off conditions, putting out fires, and I was unable to approach files via email only, and not by phone and treat as a number that was time stamped.
I did take on more than I should just to try and satisfy AE"s best broker with most submissions. Over promising and spreading myself thin was a habit I have, but could also address certain things remotely at home.

    Advice to Management

When time restrictions and cut offs are put into place, follow them. It only helps employee in the long run and trains the AE's and the client to also follow and abide by them.
Try to avoid the situations that can kill files while at funding.

    Cons

    Negative Outlook

    Pros

The company was growing and attempting to expand into other areas of the U.S. In addition to CA where the company is based.

    Cons

They did not have a clear vision or plan on how this expansion would look. The plans changed from month to month on what facilities would remain open & which would close.

    Advice to Management

Be more derailed & device about the direction of the company. Do more analysis prior to rolling new ideas out.

I have been working at PMAC Lending Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

PMAC has put together some wonderful systems and had a lot of outstanding tools for both new and experienced Loan Officers.

    Cons

Unfortunately upper management has been the weak link. While they may be competent in their own way, the communication from management to the rest of the company has never been strong enough to create a needed sense of unity.

    Advice to Management

Communication to sales and operation teams must take precedent when trying to create a nationwide company.
