    Advice to Management

The only way to make positive change at PMK is for Managment to remove themselves. Management created this monster. They set the tone for the office, which is one of disrespect. Too many examples to mention. Unfortunately, Management will continue to mistreat others as long as they hold on to their cash cow and they get 2000 resumés for every $30K position. That trickles down to those underneath them as they become "mean girls" themselves. There is no mentoring for juniors. There is little to no onboarding or support. Management tends to remove themselves from day to day but are quick to interject an uninformed opinion and "throw their own team under the bus" to save themselves. Not surprisingly, everyone I talk to is trying to leave. I am looking forward to escaping this den of negativity.

    Cons

Junior staff needs mentors and time to learn

    Advice to Management

Allow senior staff the time to mentor

    Pros

My direct supervisor is very supportive and has really helped me to learn and grow. We have great benefits and perks like unlimited PTO, summer Fridays and free full breakfast bar on Fridays. Really talented and knowledgeable leadership that expect excellence and a great reputation in the industry.

    Cons

I personally love it here and can't think of anything negative.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to require nothing from the best from your team and promote from within. I have seen so many people grow here and move into key roles and it is nice to see that we reward hard work, dedication and loyalty.

    I have been working at PMK•BNC full-time

    Pros

The recruiters are super knowledgeable and friendly and completely broke the process down for me - making it super less scary. From the phone interview to the in person - they helped me every step of the way, even giving me tips on how to interview and what I should be focusing on.

    Cons

Because of specific hire dates, the schedule can get a bit wonky and you can end up waiting to start the job for a little while.

I have been working at PMK•BNC full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

All of the employees are extremely welcoming and supportive. When I was going through the interview process, the recruiter was very responsive and informative. He explained to me all of the different facets of the company in terms of management style, company history, and culture. The recruiter also gave me great tips on what to expect and helped prepare me for the interview. If I had any further questions, he made it clear to not hesitate and reach out (not a lot of places do that).
From my personal perspective, I think everyone here is extremely welcoming and supportive.
There are amazing employee perks! Summer Fridays, different vendors come in and promote their products, free food, it is a dog friendly office, and much more.
Since their other office is in NYC, I was quickly introduced to employees across the country. So far, I feel that this is a great place to gain professional experience.

I have worked with other entertainment companies in the past, but PMK honestly tries to take it to the next step with their business. Not only do they try to think of ways to expand their creativity with business, but they simultaneously think of ways to elevate employee culture and appreciation.

    Cons

I honestly can't think of any cons.

Every person I worked with was intelligent and helpful. All ideas were appreciated and they treated interns with complete respect. I would recommend this internship to anyone.
