    I worked at PMK*BNC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    You have a desk.

    Cons

The people that work here are a joke and really believe their own hype. It's the worst type of putrid and toxic pr agency that tries to be a creative agency and fails miserably. You'll end up working with some of the most obnoxious clueless management you'll ever meet. One day this place will be looked upon as an example of how not to run a company, clients and staff are dramatically leaving them due to unprofessionalism each and every week. Avoid.

    Advice to Management

Find some other vocation and stop bullying your staff. Leave the US.

    Cons

Where do I begin? AWFUL place!!!
Low pay, terrible hours, dispecable management! People get let go every month or just leave after a few months! Overrated agency! And not doing well at all! All their clients are leaving them!

    Advice to Management

    Haha - what management?!

    Pros

The birthday celebrations, dog friendly, casual dress code

    Cons

This department lacks the creative energy you would expect from a PR agency. There is no collaboration among the managers and zero interaction among the analysts. The work is not insights or analytics, and is reduced to an exercise in creative writing. The managers show little to no appreciation for the work that you do. You take orders from the account team. There are too many managers and very little leadership. There is a culture of favoritism (see who comes in late and leaves early). There is a lot of turnover--would recommend this job to someone with less than 2 years experience.

    Advice to Management

Find a way to better integrate analytics into the overall company goals. Provide all employees with an equal opportunity to succeed.

    Pros

Dog friendly office is the only good thing.

    Cons

Truly the worst experience ever. Never have I experienced this level of unprofessionalism in my life. Don't believe the quasi decent reviews as these are merely planted by HR to balance the rating. HR is the worst. They fear dept heads so they do NOTHING about the horrible work conditions. Run the other way if they offer you a job. Trust me, nothing but misery awaits.

    Pros

Great clients, dogs in the office, fun events to work on and travel to, flexible hours if you have the right supervisor

    Cons

Long hours, demanding clients, crazy deadlines, very fast work pace which at times seems unsustainable

    Advice to Management

More training and on boarding that is specialized to the type of work the agency does. Better pay commiserate with long hours of work or an incentive program

I have been working at PMK*BNC full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Looks good on a resumé
    A few nice people
You can bring dogs to work (ha)
    Water, coffee provided

    Cons

    Arrogant, condescending leadership
    Negative office culture
Lots of unhappy people, from the bottom to the top
Focus is 99% on one client
    Little hope for career growth

    Advice to Management

The only way to make positive change at PMK is for Managment to remove themselves. Management created this monster. They set the tone for the office, which is one of disrespect. Too many examples to mention. Unfortunately, Management will continue to mistreat others as long as they hold on to their cash cow and they get 2000 resumés for every $30K position. That trickles down to those underneath them as they become "mean girls" themselves. There is no mentoring for juniors. There is little to no onboarding or support. Management tends to remove themselves from day to day but are quick to interject an uninformed opinion and "throw their own team under the bus" to save themselves. Not surprisingly, everyone I talk to is trying to leave. I am looking forward to escaping this den of negativity.

    Pros

Dogs, fruit, summer Fridays, food always around.

    Cons

Four words: Read your exit interviews. And don't let HR keep some from you because they will. People are brutal in them. You don't need Glass Door to tell you how awful it is. You have your staff leaving on a weekly basis and are honest and brutal on their exit interview questionnaires.

    I worked at PMK*BNC full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Some great clients
    Summer Fridays
    Some good people

    Cons

    No leadership
Not enough junior staff to do the work
Zero appreciation for the people who do good work
    Terrible culture

    Advice to Management

Raise up the people who work hard and who treat people with respect. Consider restructuring - starting with the people who have been there a long time and show no real motivation to try anymore. When an entire office turns over in one year, serious questions should be asked. Also, consider reevaluating the tired mantra of "it's the PMK way" when offering new employees no direction.
