I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Pay is pretty good, benefit offerings are awesome (PTO, paid holidays, great benefits, paid parental leave, new mothers' room, cafeteria, etc.). Schedule and work depend on which department you work in, some are better than others. Great coworkers, awesome managers who care, are engaged, and incredibly supportive and invested in their top performers. Opportunities to volunteer and make a difference in local communities for various causes.

    Cons

Other employees can be irritating to deal with and/or not super invested in doing their jobs. My department seems to be a dumping ground for other employees to call or send calls, and people get upset if we can't help them. Sales teams have no idea what they're selling and often treat us like we're stupid.

    Advice to Management

Be more hands-on with teams and pull back intense focus on stats. Many of us are doing what we can, but there are several reasons that the stats might be terrible and we know how to help fix them--listen to us! Keep rewarding your top performers and build that employee loyalty.

    Pros

Big on employees, customers and community! Start out with 3 weeks vacation, benefits, great maternity and paternity PTO. Great for developing and growing from within.

    Cons

Always something changing, and a lot of the time change for the sake of change. Salaries are lower tiered.

I have been working at PNC Financial Services Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

I have worked for PNC (MIS technology) for almost 5 years. I am not the typical BSA. I have quality core BSA skills however I have largly molded myself into more of a systems support, architect, analyst, manager. That statement should tell you something :). I find PNC salary to be fairly typical for large corporations. Reasonable to get in the door but slow to increase. I am a "meets all expectations" and then some employee and average about 1.5-2% raise per year at this point. I get a bonus but that's of course not guaranteed. Health benefits are just ok imo. There are some other benefits that PNC provides that many others may not which is good. So far my personal experience is PNC is very flexible in working remote and work life balance as a whole. Prove your worth and you will be given plenty of flex.

    Cons

So far my PNC mostly practices waterfall project methodology. They tout striving for agile however as you know changing to agile requires a more uniformed commitment from more than just an MIS team... I find that there should be more governance around traceability to scope.
