Sometimes it is difficult to receive a pay raise and customer service reviews can ruin your bonus at the end of the quarter

    Advice to Management

    Receive more feedback from employees

    Pros

Multiple training programs to grow skill set, good camaraderie between branch managers within region, peers always willing to help

    Cons

unrealistic sales goals, nobody explained how bonus program works, first bonus check was a surprise and had to guess how it was calculated

    Advice to Management

    Pros

Widespread footprint, and diverse, although short term, workforce.

    Cons

Utilizes Lobby Manager with primary focus as a Security Guard, too cheap to pay for a professional security guard. vs Customer Service.

Inconsistent application of "No Hats, Hoods, or Sunglasses is pervasive, resulting in inaccurate and unfair gallup customer ratings and wrong perceptions from Senior Management when branches that have had multiple robberies, do not get a security guard, and follow the correct policy when unknown customers do not experience correct protocol get upset.

    Advice to Management

    >60% annual turnover in the total Greater Washington Market (all of Virginia , much of southern Maryland is not acceptable. Goals need to be realistic, and employees need to be treated as humans, not readily disposable widgets based upon excessive goals, but no staffing to have a reasonable chance to achieve those goals, or at least consider lack of allocated staffing as a mitigating factor.

    Pros

You will have a job if you're working here. The job will look good on paper and impress others if you're in PCA.

    Cons

Very unprofessional colleagues in my PCA group, so unprofessional that one guy had to quit because of his actions.
Immature colleagues, by far the most unprofessional I've worked with in 10 years.
High deductible health insurance plans only
Sick days are counted and limited to 5. Don't get the flu, or you'll have none left!
Pay is below market and downright insulting, Wouldn't have taken the job if I'd already had one.
You have to wait 6 months before you can invest in the 401k
No infrastructure to work from home unless you're a VP or 'business essential' read: lost vacation days
The place is CFA happy right now...don't waste your time getting it unless you really want it. They'll never pay you enough to stay there long enough (if you have any dignity or standards for yourself.)

    Advice to Management

Attract higher quality talent (and people) by paying more. Don't nickel and some your employees. Don't push things under the rug, Some people in my group are an HR issue waiting to happen. Prepare for many lawsuits due to poor treatment of employees and unfit management in PCA and your stock price to drop, we're all better off working for Aberdeen or Morgan Stanley anyway.

    Pros

They are good about working around scheduling issues.

    Cons

Things are constantly changing and the trainers can't keep up with it successfully, which leaves employees to make unknown errors and risk their job security. I was paid significantly less than my male counterparts in my department with the same experience.

    Advice to Management
