    I worked at PPL as a contractor

    Pros

    I had some really great coworkers and my manager was very knowledgeable and cared about the talent progression of her team.

    Cons

    I was hired through a temp service so not great pay and no benefits. This was a temporary position while transitioning out of college but it really helped me gain a first step in the door for a permanent career.

    -Great starter job
    -Easy to adapt and learn key skills
    -Excellent on-boarding program

    Cons

    - Slow growth for associate employees out of college (takes more than 3 years to get a promotion)
    - First promotion after associates provides minimal salary boost

    Advice to Management

    Adapt to a newer growth model to accommodate employees and target emerging talent. Be more competitive compared to local companies.

    Great hours, make a lot of friends and help each other out, holidays off

    Cons

    very stressful working in the call center environment with customers constantly yelling at you, high turnover, low pay
