    Pros

Great company, management, and peers. You have the ability to be individual leaders, while being supported by management. I learned a lot from their standards of practice for clinical research. It is important to note how fast paced and exciting the job is.

    Cons

Highly demanding and may be overwhelming at times.

I have been working at PRA Health Sciences full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

People are nice and treat you like an adult, allowed to work from home, reasonable workload/good quality of life, and beautiful facility if you work in the office. Great job if you don't have ambition to ever change move.

    Cons

Pigeon-holed with little-to-no opportunity for promotion within embedded programs, and no ability to move laterally.

    Advice to Management

Develop a program for growing long term employees in embedded programs.

I worked at PRA Health Sciences full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

I enjoyed working for my first sponsor with PRA.
Benefits are good (low compensation though)
    Great PTO package
work life balance is good (sponsor dependent )

    Cons

Compensation is low and it is impossible to get them to increase as you move ahead.
Management makes all these promises and do not keep to them.
Employee advancement is encouraged verbally but not supported by action. Their goal is to keep you with the sponsor in the same role - as long as the sponsor is happy. At my second sponsor, my PRA manager acutally told me, as long as they are happy with your work, i don't see why you trying to move to another role." Please note the role was with the same sponsor and my sponsor manager had encouraged this first for my career growth.

    Advice to Management

Compensate your workers adequately and keep your promises. So many good and knowledgable people are leaving because they are not happy because management functions on we'll listen but won't act to ensure your experience continues to be good. The sponsors shouldn't be treating us better than your direct management nor should they be more encouraging of our career growth plans.

PRA has been a great place to work. The environment is open and friendly, line managers allow their reports to act as autonomously as they'd like and do their best to ensure employees feel their contributions are appreciated.

    Cons

I have been working at PRA Health Sciences full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The best reasons to work for PRA include senior management, the entire leadership team and my peers and co-workers. The work is extremely rewarding since we are helping in the clinical trial process to bring new and innovative drugs to market. The leadership team is positive, supportive and motivating. The company has a work hard/play hard mentality and I always feel involved in the bigger picture and company goals and achievements. The company culture is innovative and dynamic and the leadership team is always engaging and seeking feedback from the entire organization. The work/life balance is the best that I have experienced in my career to date. Additionally, as an added bonus...the Christmas party is something that I look forward to each year (great food and very fun!) and we also have celebratory lunches that reflect our milestone achievements.

    Cons

None! I am going on year lucky #7 and only see things improving from a baseline of terrific! The Blue Bell facility is beautiful and state of the art, our technology is great and the open communication is superb.

    Advice to Management

Keep up the amazing work! I am lucky to be a part of this awesome company and to lead such talented and motivated individuals on a day to day basis. Thank you for all that you do and I feel lucky to be an integral part of our organization!
