      Lots of potential, poorly managed

      Pros

Great sense of team with working peers Lots of diversity and inclusion in the front line workforce

      Cons

Inconsistent management skills at a Sr. Director and up C-level does not hire senior leaders from within, so no career path for employees Any VP or c-level that disagrees with the CEO is removed within 12-18 months Sales runs the show and throws everyone else under the bus when they don't succeed Cannot trust that leaders have your best interest in mind, at any time

      No career path

      Pros

You'll work with some of the smartest and nicest people you've ever met. At the worker bee level, people are collaborative, committed and truly team-oriented. Many departments offer opportunity to work remotely in positions above entry level. Well-stocked kitchens.

      Cons

No career path due to limited growth in many areas. Many good people have left the company recently because of this. Company eliminated formal performance reviews, so your compensation and bonus is completely at the discretion of your manager with no transparency into what's behind the numbers. Senior leadership lacks a clear strategy for growing the business; instead rolls out a different set of initiatives and buzzwords every few months to see what sticks without giving thought to how to execute. Lots of politics.

Challenging place to prove yourself and learn about corporate politics

      Pros

Interesting and smart colleagues Good customers, challenging issues and business problems to solve Collaborative atmosphere, but still requires a lot of thought leadership and individual stamina

      Cons

Very political atmosphere. Employees are overworked. Company takes on projects/contracts with unrealistic scope and expects staff to do whatever it takes to get it done. Staff overworked and spread thin over many different projects/initiatives, including a lot of travel. Very little recognition of a job well done, and the bonus structure in non-existent. Recession cutbacks on benefits are not reinstated. PROS expects you to be grateful for just having a job. Career path and advancement is not clear or taken seriously. Favoritism seems to exist. PROS does a good job at hiring college graduates with no experience and calling them Pricing Professionals in front of customers.

      Pros

The development team was full of bright, talented people. The environment was relaxed and there were plenty of free snacks. Also the location was great for food options.

      Cons

The test team had very little support or leadership. Upper management would have much rather outsourced the whole department and did not have any kind of career path in place.

      Dead End Job

      Pros

For its Midtown location PROS offer sufficient parking. There are also a number restaurants within walking distance.

      Cons

There is absolutely no career path at PROS. Most of the managers were promoted to their position based on "who" they know and not merit. In fact, many managers at PROS do not have subject matter expertise or experience in the areas that they manage which often creates confusion within teams. The compensation is terrible but HR justify it by saying that they provide free snacks. I noticed that a few reviewers wrote that PROS allow workers to work from home... but that is only half true. There is no global work from home policy. Days worked from home must be approved by each individual manager and it is not uncommon for managers to have different "policies" based on the employee making the request.

      No Career Path

      Pros

The recruitment team do an excellent job recruiting minorities.

      Cons

PROS do not have established career paths leaving many VERY SMART individual contributors feeling as if we are in dead-end jobs. Many department-level managers, directors, and senior directors do not have the skills or experience to be in the positions that they are in. Unfortunately career longevity and professional growth at PROS is dependent on who you know, socialize with, or are related to. This system of operating has created a culture which breeds favoritism and negates diversity & inclusion with regards to leadership positions across the organization.
