    Cons

They are in serious need of restructure.

The business model can't operate the way it is for many more years to come.

Too much of profit goes to commissioning the hotels. This means overly inflated prices to the customers.

    Advice to Management

Pay scale and benefits needs to reflect the amount of hours put in, especially during high season.

    Pros

    More properties to work at

    Cons

Work /Life Balance hasn't caught on there yet.

    Advice to Management

Its never to large to engage input from the people having to deliver the service. Numbers tell only half the tale. A Balanced approach that includes front line input would greatly increased moral and revenue.

    Cons

Break labor laws constantly (whistle blowers get fired).
    Extremely poor treatment of employees.
Have to deal with upset clients that over payed for AV equipment (that is old and unreliable)

I have been working at PSAV full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

This list is starting to shrink. Job security, Insurance, 401k

    Cons

Too Many to list, Company is in process of going public, which means many changes, some good some bad.

The biggest con is the pay, it is inconsistent across the company, but always below average. Hours are long, managing relationship with your hotel property is a full time job, some are great others are horrible people.

Company is run with the mentality where they don't address problems at the root of the problem, they blanket discapline and rule as a group. ie. If you are not hitting your numbers the entire region is responsible.

I think the biggest problem with the company is the management BELOW the CEO which is primarily Regional Vice Presidents, they have no clue what goes on in the field, they sit in their office and mull over spreadsheets and bark orders.

    Advice to Management

Live the core values you want us to live, it is a 2 way street with only the field living it.

Pay your people what they are worth to reduce the insane amount of turnover.

Survey your employees multiple times a year and don't settle for anything less than a 90% sample size or participation rate.

Quit signing contracts with commissions to hotels that you know will be impossible to reach financial goals put on the director.

Invest in your employees and equipment.
