    Pros

    Great co workers
    Can be a fun environment
    New things everday

    Cons

    Upper management sucks
    no raises
    bad benefits

    Advice to Management

Train your managers better, be more fair with raises for employees who stay and do a great job. Quit giving all perks to only management...without employees in yards you have no company.

I worked at PSC Metals full-time

    Pros

Depending on the yard, there's a lot of room for attaining knowledge of many different types of equipment. You could potentially meet good people to work with and enjoy the day if you dont mind dirty work.

    Cons

Bare minimum health insurance plan, not real coverage, forces u to use ACA plans.

Metal Industry has dips, theyre in one, dont expect very many raises unless you advanced to management, which can be very stressful.

    CEO changes quite often, instable...

More and more rules because people get hurt and it permeates every yard. We'll all end up wearing bubble boy suits. I guess its hard to avoid new rules; the company, owned by a Bagillionaire, doesnt want to get sued.

    Advice to Management

Not sure. Be nice. Realize workers are your bread and butter. Dont spread them too thin. Reward hard work. I am sure some yards do great.

    Pros

Some of the yard managers were really nice. The salary was OK. Had a nice office. Not a long commute to work. Enjoyed some of the people although most did not know what they were doing from day to day.

    Cons

One of the worst companies in the US. Not sure how they are still in business. They were so not organized that it was no wonder they are not growing.

I worked at PSC Metals full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Watching the CEO and H.R. group make decisions will give you a good laugh. Not a joke... seriously... you will laugh.

    Cons

Total incompetence. No direction or plan. Hides true results from shareholders. Unsafe work practices. Instead of fixing issues corporate looks for fall guy to blame. Low morale. Employees do not respect corporate leadership and spend more time looking for their next job. Company is a financial disaster. People mean nothing.

    Advice to Management

Sell the company to a competitor who will save the employee jobs. Quit blaming the market for poor results. The company could make money with better leadership. Corporate Leadership will walk past you and never even say hello. HR is a disaster. If shareholders really knew what was going on they would close it down and cut their losses.

-employees with over 20 years experience mean nothing to them.
-CEO is completely incompetent, and hires incompetent people.
-they call illegal activity something else, so they feel piece of mind while breaking the law...How about thoughts catalytic converters gents.
-dropped health plan because it was cheaper to pay the fine, then to give us health care. ( this was in a secret email sent to all high level managers )

    Advice to Management

remember Enron, Worldcom and the Tyco accounting scandals. They also say history repeats itself.
