I worked at PSC full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Let's you do your job without looking over your shoulder. Decent pay.

    Cons

Took the measly 2 sick days away. Supervisors that have inappropriate relationships with the customer and superiors was really disgusting. No wonder she got promotions from being an Admin.

    Advice to Management

    Promote people with professional integrity.

I have been working at PSC part-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

If you have no ambition, and enjoy working with morons, this place is for you.

    Cons

The focus is on brawn over brains, regulations over thinking.
If you report to an information hoarder, you will be left in the dark, and your ideas will go nowhere.
Broken promises, favoritism, poor resource allocation.

    Advice to Management

Think about bidirectional communication. Top down gets old.

I have been working at PSC full-time

    Pros

Company offers good health plan available from the date of hire. 401K plan is also a plus. There seems to be a great bond between field level employees due to the mutual suffering inflicted by poor management.

    Cons

The Company seems to have little to no focus with directives and initiatives beginning and cancelling halfway through their implementations. High turnover rate due to value not being placed on retention of quality personnel. This leads to lesser trained and unprofessional behavior rampant in the workplace and on projects in front of customers.

    Advice to Management

Your people are your greatest asset. Convince investors to stop letting the bottom line be the guiding principle. The industry is cyclic in nature. Find balance and have a clear vision to grow the company and communicate the company's values to your people. Then, stand by your word.

    Pros

Got a paycheck. There where a few good coworkers that shared all the struggles. Soda in the vending machines was 25 cents. This is the only company that you will look forward to getting a pink slip.

    Cons

PSC has more managers then workers. Management will not listen to there employees, extremely hard headed and have ZERO technical skills. The company has ZERO tolerance for handicapped employees and only provides catastrophic type benefits. Currently PSC is suffering because of the downturn in the oil business and layoffs happen weekly.

    Advice to Management

Littlejohn & Co that currently own PSC should clean house and hire some competent CEO's, CFO's, and CTO's. It may however be to late though.
