I worked at PTS Consulting Group (More than a year)

    Pros

    basically none
they once had a good brand,
    that management team left

    Cons

they don't keep their word and treat their employees very badly.
most of the recent grad hires leave within the first 6 months when they realize PTS will not keep their training and compensation.

    Advice to Management

    get a new management team

I worked at PTS Consulting Group full-time

    Pros

Interesting high-tech projects. Some very smart people. Flex hours, work from home.

    Cons

US Management not active in daily operations. Account managers run projects like gods with no collaboration, all talk and no listen. Technical experts and subject matter experts do not get to talk to management, do not get to dialog with clients. Think "Putney Swope" where the best contributors see their work taken by ego centric coworkers and the contributor is marginalized, or not listened to about key topics that could help the clients and help the firm. Fact-finding and needs analysis is a joke. No one listens to client-side users and technical people, only to the deal-makers and only until the deal is closed, then project management is reduced to power-point presentations with no dialog.

I have been working at PTS Consulting Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    - PTS provides the opportunity to work on some landmark projects
    - Your future is your own, if you want it you can go and get it, don't expect anything to be handed to you.
    - The variety of clients makes for a refreshing change to mix up your work environment on a regular basis
    - Office politics are mostly non existent people are really nice and will always offer advice and help if its required.
    - Nice offices with latest technology for staff to use

    Cons

    - Benefits packages could be better
    - Few more company socials would be good to bring together staff who work out on client sites for long periods.

    Advice to Management

Invest some time into looking after the staff that are here and working hard, a few events for team building would go a long way to bring together a large collective of individuals.
Consider a broader package of benefits for staff that could be comparable to some larger professional service organisations to help attract to top talent and retain the talent you have.

    Neutral Outlook

I worked at PTS Consulting Group full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Some good people there. Some great project opportunities

    Cons

Lack of trust in employees; rigid policies and procedures; poor progression; not the best payers; outdated and time consuming internal systems

    Advice to Management

Modernise work practices - trust and empower your employees. Ditch the ridiculous policies and approvals mechanisms and update the internal systems
