I worked at PVH Corp. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Transparent communication from the CEO to all level of associates.

Clear communication from Presidents for what the Annual Goals are for the division.

Strong compensation package of; salary, pension, potential bonus, 401K, and health benefits.

    Professional and respectful work environment.

H-R Department is very strong at providing managers with guidance and management training, both from internal resources and certified training sessions.

    Cons

If you were not in the Calvin Klein or Tommy Hilfiger divisions you sometimes felt like you were in a second tier division while they were first tier.

    Advice to Management

When I worked there you were an industry leader in regards to your 'giving back to the community' programs, as well as focusing on gender and race equality for hiring and promotion granting. I hope you are still just as focused on these initiatives.

    Pros

Discount on clothes which made it a little bearable to work their but it was not worth it in the long run. The pay was horrible they need to keep up with the market.

    Cons

I worked in an old disgusting warehouse. The plant manager did not believe in using AC when it was hot or heat when it was cold. A monkey could do my job.

    Advice to Management

Promote people their is no way to move up people get tired of working the same positions.

I have been working at PVH Corp. full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The benefits are very good and include medical, 401K, vacation, holiday pay and store discounts.

    Cons

The pay is sub par as compared to other companies in apparel. Expectations are very high for such low compensation. Management doesn't have the employees best interest in mind and is more worried about their numbers and how they look to senior management. Favoritism is a problem and many good employees get overlooked because of it.

    Advice to Management

Learn that your employees are an asset and value them. Hire managers that have experience and an education in management. Not all mangers that have moved up to that position within the company are qualified.

I have been working at PVH Corp. full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

The job pays enough to cover bills. Insurance, 401 K, STD and paid holidays. Offers life insurance while employed.

    Cons

No chance for advancement, unless you know someone when entering employment. Gossip mill, bullying, lying too many trouble makers in one place (mostly women). Impossible to do the job given without interference of people who want to tear you down, so they can look better. Don't take this job unless you're a man or a jerk.

    Advice to Management

Install cameras in your departments, so you'll know what's REALLY going on. It will increase productivity, and get rid of bullies and lazy people.

I worked at PVH Corp. part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

learn the essentials and basic etiquette having to do with suit pairing.
    how to tie a tie/bow.
how to fold clothing along side cramping clothes upon clothes.
the hours are there unless (see con).

    Cons

Poor Management, no real sales directive unless monthly visits from corporate are expected.
Often, the store is sloppy before morning shifts and then during daytime or "busy' hours,
it's all packed as go-backs and forced upon a lesser hourly employee.
    often you are on call.

    Advice to Management

stick to your targeted audience and sales demography. hire those who have a genuine interest in the style and empowerment of young men. not miserable, aging, misinformed 80's babies with no 401k plan.
