I have been working at Pac-Van full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

I know part of a truck drivers duties is to complain about everything. But working for this company, its becoming a fulltime job in it's self. They have no idea how to run the trucking aspects of the job. Equipment is old and maintenance was never done by previous drivers, so know I have to deal with those consequences.

    Cons

Everything under the sun. Dispatcher, sales reps and management.

    Advice to Management

Stop wearing about writing ppl up and worry more about working with ppl and get their side of the story before making finale discussion

    Cons

Pay is low benefits cost a lot. Expect work done to perfection and rushed all the time. Shows favoritism to family members

    Pros

Family and team oriented atmosphere. Laid back and self paced. Easy place to settle in and work.

    Cons

Management can't make any decisions in a timely manner. The procedures involved with small tasks overwhelm customers and employees and cost extra time and money for the company.

    Positive Outlook

    I worked at Pac-Van full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company treated its employee's very well at the corporate office. My manager was easy going and had been in the business for over 20 years. Everyone was very friendly and got along great and they paid well.

    Cons

I really can't say there were any cons to this job. I found it to be one of the best jobs I'd had in my life. I resigned because I was moving further south and would have to drive 2+ hours to get there.

    I worked at Pac-Van full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Enabled everyone in the company to take not only personal but company objectives to even higher levels.

    Cons

The biggest problem was the overlap in responsibilities with branch operations. This sometimes occurred between Corporate Operations and Regional VP's of sales.

    Advice to Management

My advice to the Management Team would be to get to know your people. Really get to know them.
