I worked at Pace International full-time

    Pros

    Nice benefits, PTO, good pay

    Cons

HR have different answers on questions, no thinking outside the box ... period, micro-management

    Advice to Management

Listen to you employees as well as your client and you may have still had call centers open

    Pros

The engineering groups work extremely hard and seem to be very knowledgeable about the technologies that are needed to deliver solid products to a very aggressive market.

    Cons

Execs only manage through spreadsheets and have no idea on what it takes to deliver high-quality software and hardware.

    Advice to Management

The SVPs are not in touch with the teams in their locations; people get more direction from their immediate manager.

Revenue targets are created in an "ivory tower" on what all is possible and then 6 months later the target is not even achievable due to a lack of a conservative perspective on the numbers.

I have been working at Pace International full-time

    Pros

Fairly easy to obtain employment through Volt. Job highly scripted and computer guided. Follow the yellow brick road.

    Cons

No growth opportunities or salary increase except OT. Some staff have Management - Peon mentality. Just do it or bye. Micromanaged down to when you take a bathroom break. No assigned seating.

    Advice to Management

Spread some wealth around and when people are treated, valued like adults, they will act like adults.

    Pros

Great people, lots of institutional knowledge, interesting and innovative products. Decent benefits (including 401k match, ESPP).

    Cons

Corporate policies treat employees like interchangeable cogs, and don't value our personal time. Salaries not particularly competitive.

    Advice to Management

If you ask your employees for their opinions, don't just tell them they're wrong if you don't like what they say. Think about why they said what they said.

    Pros

People that work there are cool agents. Supervisors aren't bad. Management seems like they don't know what their doing some times.

    Cons

Pay is horrible for the work you do. Even when you move up they don't give raise accordingly. Other centers doing the exact same thing gets paid 4-7 dollars more an hour.

I worked at Pace International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Got paid weekly sense i was hired trough Aerotek and Volt

    Cons

Too many different tools, this is a call center job for tech support. The training is really just the basics there has to be a part of you that understands technology and how the equipment works. But the company is overall very organized as far as management goes. Very very strict with attendance And no good benefits. Contract to hire may take over 2 years.

    Advice to Management

To update computers and the floor, that place is so dirty and you dont keep your own desk . Be less strict with sick time and personal time, how is it that you can only miss 40 hrs per year?

    Pros

Good benefits, fair pay. Plenty of advancement opportunities if you can make it through being a front-line agent. Easy work, too.

    Cons

Though AT&T does not own the company, it micromanages it and dictates the day-to-day operations. As a result, there is a process, formula, or algorithm to everything. In the past year, policies for security and for troubleshooting have gone from loose to strict, and it's been headed in this direction for a while. Training has also been cut, leading to new agents having no idea what to do on their first couple weeks of calls.

    Advice to Management

Have some independence; allowing AT&T to dictate your operations in the US will eventually lead to no free will for management or the agents.

    Cons

It's a good while you look for a great job.

    Advice to Management

The training wasn't sufficient enough. Once I was on the floor I was told "forget everything u learned in training because it doesn't matter".

I have been working at Pace International full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great Boss. Free Sodas and waters.

    Cons

Lower pay than comparable companies. There is a bonus, but it's out of engineers hands, depends on sales. Very little original work done, repackage vendors code mostly, add a few bells & whistles. Vacation time average, benefits average. Very poor raise last year after (what I've heard) several years of no raises. Understaffed. Interesting work done in Austin.

    Advice to Management

    Raise pay.
