    Cons

Limited opportunities for professional development. Small office space, small place to network. Expensive corporate neighborhood, badly timed workloads, but overall not bad.

Provide more opportunities to fuel personal growth, network with more firms and build stronger reputation for PCG in the PE industry

    Pros

Location - Office is in a wonderful waterfront location in downtown La Jolla.
Client base - PCG has a strong/branded group of limited partner investors/clients - CalPERS, Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, etc

    Cons

Management team - The senior management team does not properly/sufficiently support the middle and junior levels In-fighting - There is significant in-fighting at PCG as it is a place where no one plays on the same team
Absence of leadership/direction 0 There is no clear strategy or strong person to follow
Compensation - PCG consistently underpays talent

    Advice to Management

Restructure senior team and rebuild the rewards program, spread carried interest throughout ranks

    Pros

friendly atmosphere, motivated and knowledgeable colleagues, interesting projects within a global emphasis, and incredibly intelligent and approachable senior management. PCGI is by far the best place I have worked at.

    Cons

be prepared for a lot of work - evenings, don't expect to be home before 8 or 9 PM, and expect to spend 1 to 2 weekends at work per month on average. then again, the work is just fascinating, so you'll find yourself going there on WE out of pleasure... most of the time.

    Advice to Management

keep up the good work, it was great to work with all of you, woudn't change a thing (well, maybe invest in more bloomberg terminals)
