I worked at Pacific Hospitality Group full-time

    Pros

I met many wonderful fellow colleagues (hardworking employees who became good friends!) and spent a number of great years at PHG. I had a very positive experience with management during my first several years at this company...mainly because I felt as though leadership really cared and treated their employees like family.

    Cons

In my last couple years at PHG, the culture seemed to shift. Management at my location appeared to become chaotic/disorganized and didn't seem to value or appreciate employees like they had in the past. Employees felt disconnected from their work, and when they tried to offer input to management, they didn't feel heard. Many of the employees I knew became discouraged and dissatisfied and eventually left the company; it became a rather negative work environment. Hopefully PHG can turn things around so good talent wants to stay. I spent a number of positive years with this company, and I do wish them the best!

    Advice to Management

Don't underestimate the power of showing appreciation for your employees, listening to their input, and consistently connecting their work to a higher purpose that continues to motivate, engage, and inspire them.

I have been working at Pacific Hospitality Group full-time

    Pros

    None. This company is terrible

    Cons

From directly lying to their employees to pretending to be in meetings so they don’t have to deal with an upset guest. What else is there to say?

    Advice to Management

Do your job with at least a single shred of ethic for a change

I worked at Pacific Hospitality Group full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Locations are great if you can get past the corporate culture of kissing butt and making sure all things for the CEO are set.

    Cons

The big Con is the Con man at the helm. Tim presents himself as a caring person but stops listening to you a half second after he asks you a question. The whole culture is focused on kissing his butt. Not a good a culture, a horrible company.

    Advice to Management

Care about the employees more than covering your own butt for the CEO.
