Pros

The people you work with will be some of the best you will ever meet and the health benefits are really good. They also run a lot of contests to earn extra prizes and/or money.

Cons

Recognition does not always come readily. More times than not the expectations are unrealistic and unreachable for management to complete given the information provided along with payroll given. Communication throughout the company needs to be better and clearer.

Pros

Employee medical benefits were good. Paid sick leave and paid vacation hours were offered which was also very nice. The opportunity to use your own creativity on a regular basis was another positive. Working with a diverse group of people as a team on a daily basis was also probably the best part of this job.

Cons

Lots of paid time off, tons of blackout periods where you are barely have an opportunity to even use your time. As a store manager, it was unsaid, but known that all tasks must get done, no matter what. Managers felt pressured to work practically off the clock because of the pressure to get visual moves, florets, window displays, shipment boxes, transfers, markdowns, and any other task done. Corporate would force me as a store manager to have very low payroll hours, which meant myself and other managers having to work alone, which was totally unsafe and completely unreasonable. Floor sets were required to be done constantly, forcing managers to stay after hours until late into the night. Basically, there was absolutely no possible way of having a work/life balance and this company showed they don't care about their employees, they only care about money.

Benefits are descent and inexpensive. Fun work environment. Excellent dress code with a great employee discount. Overall, very laid back compared to many retailers. Career growth is what you make of it, plenty of internal promotions if you're willing to relocate.

Work load can be intense at times. There are constant sale changes, sometime 2-3 times a week. Floor sets can be challenging. Window updates can be complex as well. Your experience will vary depending on DM and whether you work at core (mall) or outlet stores.

Easily promoted, the people are usually pretty cool and monthly sales bonuses are rather easy to achieve. Good benefits and paid time off

Schedules are extremely abnormal. Headquarters tends to take advantage of employees with regards to working holidays and a lot of blackout time for vacations. Compensation can be low too

Great company discount. Also benefit package is very through and you get to pick what you want and don't want.

Retail during back to school and the winter holidays means you won't be getting much time off during these months.

Great atmosphere loved the location and the guests we would see. The coworkers were also very fun to be around and worked well around my schedule

Early shifts if you had a floor change no benefits offered except for the a discount. Sometimes not enough employees working in busy season
