I worked at Pacific Sunwear part-time for more than a year

    Pros

I loved working at Pacsun because it's my favorite store. If you're like me and can be friendly to customers, fold clothes, and show up to work on time, you'll have an easy time there. Sometimes there are "overnight" shifts, where the whole staff gets together to rearrange the store after closing hours. They were honestly fun shifts because there were no customers, it was a big team effort, and I had a great manager who bought snacks and pizza for everyone. Loved the vibe there. Great college job. Flexible with my class hours. Usually minimum 4 hour shifts. I worked at 2 locations at different times... one was very slow, and only one sales associate worked with one manager. That was the chill and easy going store. The second store was busy all day, and people will easily destroy the nice displays of clothing making closing shifts longer than they have to be.

    Cons

Smaller discounts on brand name items, minimum wage, high schoolers with little work ethic.

I worked at Pacific Sunwear part-time for more than a year

    Pros

The people you meet and the environment.

    Cons

The company expects too much for most associates who work close to or minimum wage.

I worked at Pacific Sunwear part-time

    Pros

It is a simple entry level job for a high school student.

    Cons

It pays minimum wage and even after a promotion I made less than $8 per hour. There is no creative outlet, everything is decided for you by corporate.

I have been working at Pacific Sunwear part-time

    Pros

The people I work with are incredible, I feel so well taken care of. I had very poor expectations as it was a corporate job, but the work environment was really great. Very relaxed work environment, they listen to their employees, one of the better work place environments I’ve been in. I’d recommend working here, but definitely get a second job if you can’t get full time. It’s more of pocket money if you get part time, I ended up needing to live off my savings for a little.

    Cons

The pay is minimum wage, which if you’re doing part time and providing for yourself just isn’t substantial. The work itself is low energy and not very stimulating whether you’re doing recovery on the floor, register, fitting rooms, or shipment. Sometimes management struggles with being direct, I think out of sensitivity. So if you’ve done something wrong, they won’t always immediately tell you, and if they do, sometimes it’s in a round about way.
