      Toxic culture, poor management

      Pros

Good sales training Cool coworkers Good first job out of college, lots to learn especially concerning publicly traded businesses.

      Cons

Dishonest tactics that hurt candidates. Ruining/stealing a candidates existing job prospects is half the job. Lying is encouraged to close a deal. Management plays favorites and is overcompensated for the value they bring. Hard to advance in the “clear promotion path” when opportunities are gifted or withheld based on the popularity contest. Frat house culture is an accurate description including hazing for missed KPIs Long hours Bonus structure is an abomination. A quarterly minimum revenue target qualifies means many people bill enough to keep their job, but receive nothing beyond a less than market salary. This leads to all sorts of questionable deals and revenue reporting manipulation. It’s also discretionary and attitude is a factor so all day everyone is shouting how great the company is. The bonuses lead to the most turnover in my opinion. You can make more at most firms with less toxicity.

      Pros

If you hit your goals you are rewarded. If you miss them management works with you to improve.

      Cons

Sometimes long hours if you're working on many jobs at the same time. Which isn't something I myself consider a con but the con section is required for a review.

Not sustainable and high turnover - for a reason

      Pros

Can make some good friends. Good office parties and events. Promotions based on billing.

      Cons

Long hours, immature bosses, gossipy annoying co workers, high turnover. Most people from my training class quit within the first month. Ridiculous KPIs set by immature bosses only looking out for themselves. They now offer a 1 month unpaid sabbatical for those who have been there 2 years+ because they know how taxing this job can be- why do you think they offer 22 days of PTO? Most of my coworkers were looking to get out. I have another friend who works at a different staffing agency and when he found out I worked at Michael Page he laughed and said his company see so many resumes from MP recruiters trying to find a better job. LOL

      Toxic environment

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Fun coworkers, scripts to follow that help with training, clear promotions, growing office

      Cons

Even the highest performing people quit because unrealistic expectations (extremely long hours that you don't get paid for). Management always wants more, so easy to get burnt out. Bad bonus structure (high minimum placement fees needed to get the bonus and when you are eligible for bonus, you only get a small % of what your heard work earned - GREEDY COMPANY!). Management/Directors sleeping with their staff. Very sexist inappropriate comments from high level management. Everyone I know who has left is so much happier now.

Great place to launch your career

Jun 3, 2019 - Senior Recruitment Consultant in Chicago, IL

      Business Outlook

      Pros

It is a black and white place when it comes to promotions and role responsibility. There is transparency top to bottom and when you are launching your career, or making a career switch that cannot go understated.

      Cons

Sometimes the culture can be cliquish, especially if you are on a team that is underperforming. Long hours of 8-6, leaving before or arriving late, you'll know all about it from the looks you receive.
