I have been working at Pajaro Valley USD full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good benefits and friendly staff. Many people have worked there for an extended period and care about their work and the students.

    Cons

One of the most lowest paying districts in California and management doesn't seem to care since management is pay well, just not classified.

    Advice to Management

Value your staff by showing them you care enough to fight for proper wages.

    Pros

    Very rewarding job. Nice community.

    Cons

Huge class size. Administrators are not supportive. Lots of testing, not enough time teaching.

    Advice to Management

Support teachers, spend the money that the State allocates to schools in children not in management and salaries

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

None except location; close to Santa Cruz and Carmel.

    Cons

Extremely poor Special Education administration; egocentric, non-supportive, manipulative, not highly qualified or knowledgeable. Very political and petty. Dishonest. Perpetrate a culture of fear (of retaliation) and contempt. They do not respect their staff and engage in backbiting and bullying tactics. Most pathetic admin anywhere in comparison. Don't waste your time with this district. Almost any would be better anywhere else. You cannot trust them and you cannot rely on them for any support, or even common decency.

    Advice to Management

Grow up, be honest and be supportive of your SpEd staff who works incredibly hard for you. Even classified staff loathes the administration. Poorest administration anywhere. Highly unqualified, shameless, despicable. They all should have been terminated a long time ago. Superintendent needs to clean house with this corrupt, disgusting cast of clowns.
