I have been working at Palantir Economic Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

-The company management structure is relatively flat and you will quickly notice how easy it is to talk to people who are more senior.
-You will always be busy. If you're not with a client, there are plenty of projects to join.
-There are opportunities to expand the scope of your work and pursue something that might interest you a bit more.
    -Very cooperative work environment.

    Cons

-You will at some point be stuck doing monotonous tasks, such as mapping variables, etc. It doesn't matter if you come in with a degree in biology, or a PhD in Quantum Physics, you will will be moving lots of data around, and doing everything associated with that.

-Professional development (especially subject matter expertise) is up to you.

I worked at Palantir Economic Solutions full-time

    Pros

Small company so a more intimate culture. Very easy to reach out to all levels of management.

    Cons

Poor retention of most talented employees. Some poor management. Lack of care about employees.

    Advice to Management

You are not getting paid to micro-manage and send emails.

I worked at Palantir Economic Solutions full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Palantir had a really solid training program, aka boot camp.
The co-workers were great and the leadership of the company includes many years of good experience in the petroleum industry.
Consulting / software implementation assignments were often quite interesting and put you in an environment close to decision makers.
With lots of consulting assignments and implementations, it's hard to get bored.
When everything goes well, you really feel like you help the clients with business processes and facilitating decision making.

    Cons

The salaries tend not to be on par with the oil & gas industry as it is more of a software company than an oil company.
Sometimes you have to deal with drier subjects like data management (i.e. loading data from SAP) rather than petroleum economics.

    Advice to Management

Good luck with Aucerna and thanks for the good years.

I have been working at Palantir Economic Solutions full-time

    Pros

Management do take steps to reduce the grind.
C-level management are approachable, especially with terrible puns.
Personal development is very much your own responsibility.

    Cons

Way too much fun at non-management levels.
Some legacy products have been left to rot. What are cheap to build at first - usually a rush - cost years in fruitless maintenance.
Responsibilities are often overloaded onto individuals, and a select few others not contributing.

I have been working at Palantir Economic Solutions full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    - Top tier clients within the Oil and Gas industry
    - Challenging and interesting work involving complex problem solving and solution design
    - Ability to travel
    - Smart colleagues, supporting work environment, laid back work place culture

    Cons

    - Salary below market average, bonuses are rarely paid out
    - Very little career development due to company size and flat structure
    - Some people have to travel a lot or be away from home up to months at a time, or even relocating to a different country to support a client, this can be either a pro or con depending on each individual
    - relatively high turn over rate among employees
    - future uncertain after the merger/take over, seems like legacy Palantir upper and middle management are being pushed aside. Consulting services will be run by managers from the other company that's not known for good delivery.
