From the highest level down, all the employees I've encountered are so friendly and helpful. The campuses are clean and safe, and it feels like a family.

    Cons

As an adjunct, there is a limit to how many courses we can teach in a year.

I worked at Palm Beach State College part-time

    Pros

Flexible hours, friendly coworkers, they always want to see you grow in your potential.

    Cons

Some of your bosses can be a pain, but they mean well. Not enough work to go around so some days you have to sit there finding busy work.

    Advice to Management

Procedures and policies seem to change depending on time of day and who is in charge. Supervisors need to agree on one set of rules to avoid confusing tutors.

    Pros

Great employees and a a flexible supervisor. Opportunities to learn new programs and continuous great professional development opportunities. The most enjoyable part of the job was having contact with students on a daily basis.

    Cons

Advancement isn't something that happens often either and the college has no qualms hiring from outside their current staff. There is no seniority when it comes to a promotion.

    Advice to Management

Good people don't leave their jobs because of the task at hand, it's because of bad managers
