I have been working at Palmer-Donavin full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I have been here for almost 2 years. I have had two promotions and a ton of opportunity for growth. I came into this job not knowing anything about the industry, but learned quickly that product knowledge comes with time. However, Palmer Donavin is looking for people who are willing to work hard and have great customer service. The management notice who puts in the work and says yes to every opportunity. This is has been a great job that is turning into a lifelong career.

    Cons

Training could be more hands-on and extensive.

    Don't present problems, without solutions.

I have been working at Palmer-Donavin full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Palmer-Donavin has a second-to-none company culture. As an employee owned business, each employee is dedicated to the success and health of the company. Across the board, management in every department is committed to developing their employees. At Palmer-Donavin, you will have the opportunity to grow and develop your professional skills, while enjoying a laid back family oriented company culture. If you are looking to advance, the opportunity is there.

    Cons

The pay is relatively low for some of the entry level positions. In order to earn a solid paycheck, you will need to put in some time and advance in the company.

    Advice to Management

As our industry continues to be transformed by new technology, I suggest we continue to invest in new and improved systems to stay ahead of the curve.

I have been working at Palmer-Donavin full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Being employee owned is such a unique benefit and really creates a collaborative culture. Each person has a vested interest in the company and the success we create directly impacts our bonuses and the value of our stocks.

I can speak openly with my senior leadership. Titles do not cause people to treat you differently. PD fosters open communication and management takes a genuine interest in your success.

    Cons

We start out with 112 hours of PTO (which is fantastic) and it bumps up after 10 years. It would be nice if there was a bump at 5 years.

    Advice to Management

Keep being open with employees. Its very much appreciated.

    I have been working at Palmer-Donavin full-time

    Pros

Family oriented company meaning everyone treats each other the same. The CEO is and managers are very personable. Your word means something and you have the ability to truly make a difference. Being employee owned we get employee stock and bonuses. If you have talent they will recognize it and move you forward. This is a great company for outside sales. You wont find many outside sales positions where you have a work-life balance similar to this.

    Cons

The benefits are not as good as they claim. We do not receive many sick days and they do not go up for 10 years! Technology is WAY behind. Pay can be low depending on the position. Being a smaller company there are not as many advancement opportunities.

    Advice to Management

-People care more about pay now than the stock option.
-Invest more in technology and employees (updated computers, laptops, monitors ect). This stuff makes a difference for the employees. Happy employees = productive employees. Example: Salesman have been asking for tablets forever. THIS WOULD HELP US DO OUR JOB. We have to pull out our hotspot and laptop anytime we need to use the internet.
