Doesn't RecommendNegative OutlookNo opinion of CEOI worked at Palmetto State Transportation full-time for more than a year
Pros
Nice trucks, paper logs, take however long you want off.
Cons
Their ad is a lie. They don't have local positions open first off. Second off it is 100% driver unload. Horrible route plans. They will send 5 teams to wait on one trailer to cross the border. You will layover for days waiting on a backhaul just to be Told to deliver it and do a turn and burn then get wrote up for going over your 70. Their excuse is "that's trucking" no, that's what happens when you have an office full of related employees who's never drove a truck before. They do NOT honor your time to get home even though you say "Hey I have jury duty i need to be home Wednesday" they won't get you home till Thursday night or Friday morning. Also they have one person doing payroll. 80% of the time you will not get your full check and when you call to fix it, it gets put on your next check so it can be taxed some more.

RecommendsPositive OutlookApproves of CEOI worked at Palmetto State Transportation for more than 3 years
Pros
Not a bad place to work. Family values, somewhat traditional. Very laid back atmosphere. Fairly flexible if time off is needed for emergencies.
Cons
Not easy to move up the ladder if you are not family, or male. Having to deal with some drivers who don't want to work can be a pain.
