    Pros

Great place to work, the company takes care of their employees. They have department engagement daily morning meetings that keeps you up to date on what's happening.

    Cons

Management can use some work communicating with employees. Nothing out of the normal, every company has its flaws but over all a good company.

I worked at Palms Casino Resort full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

    Friendly players to play with

    Cons

Management needs management, because everyone is running around thinking they got it all when they know nothing

    Advice to Management

Get your buisness together or the place is going to continue to slide backwards.

I worked at Palms Casino Resort full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Family environment. Benefits were good. Felt like I really contributed to the companies success. I used to look forward to going in for my shifts.

    Cons

After the Maloofs lost control property went downhill. New management came in tried to change the culture too much towards out of town guests.

    Advice to Management

Have less of a corporate attitude.

I worked at Palms Casino Resort full-time

    Pros

Used to be a fun hotel to work and play but too many new owners and all the good clubs shut down.

    Cons

    New management is a mess

    Advice to Management

    Need some stability

    Pros

I worked in the front office for more than two years. Overall we had a great team and did a good job of hiring qualified team members who understood the essential job functions of the front office. They had a reasonable commission structure that compensated team members fairly.

    Cons

The client base at Palms was not always the greatest. There was a lot miscommunication between the group sales team and the front office that caused a lot of tension between the departments. It often felt like the front office team was isolated and was left to solve issues like proper billing patterns and room assignments with little to know support from the sales team.

    Advice to Management

Show your team support during difficult situations. This will help with team moral and strengthen the department in the long run. Also, hold leadership accountable for their actions.

    Pros

Freedom to make decisions that work best for your team. Not a one size fits all leadership style because Executive Leaders know that every department has different needs

    Great Flex/Vac benefits

Paid Lunch/Free Lunch - although the food during lunch lacks more healthy options.

Friendly, accessible, and approachable Senior Executive team.

    Cons

No rewards, recognition, or raises for dedicated and high performing salaried team members.

HR Policies change like the weather

All news is LATE news - changes were heard through the rumor mill before anyone heard it from leadership. Insults intelligence.

    Advice to Management

Take care of your salaried team members too, they feel undervalued. They drive the hourly team members to success and get no recognition. A formal "Thank you" goes a long way.
