    Pros

Establish company with operating procedures in place. Decent benefits: vacation, personal days, sick days & holidays. Also good health insurance options & 401k company match

I worked at Panalpina full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Company seems to be "family oriented", it's very stable, and if you work hard you'll do fine here.

    Cons

Technology is ancient. They're getting swallowed up by the competition, and the attitude within the corporation doesn't seem threatened. There seems to be an entitlement with upper management that because they've been around for a long time, they'll be fine. They're not fine. Turnover is up year over year, and yet the management and business models remain the same.

    I worked at Panalpina full-time

    Pros

People are great. Everybody always tries to help as a team.

    Cons

Upper Management is the main issue. They have no clue. The company will fail due to the poor choices being made. People are way over worked, pay is horrible. Management has no clue on the exact process of working a file from start to finish. They seem to leave out about half of the process and cant figure out why people are behind. Customers are pulling out

    I worked at Panalpina full-time

    Pros

Desk level staff are the hardest working people I know.

    Cons

Upper management is full of egos and agendas. No real leadership or sense of security or support. Desk level agents are overworked, underpaid, and underappreciated.

    Pros

good co-workers who are over worked and underpaid

    Cons

too many changes in upper management; constant comparison to K & N - which we aren't and never will be! keep your head down and maybe the firing squad will miss you.

I have been working at Panalpina full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

Pay is good. Employee Bonus and Reward programs available. Financially stable company to work for. Good health care benefits.

    Cons

This company takes no consideration for family life. The amount of hours this company expects you to work are extreme. They try to keep their costs down by hiring as few people as possible which causes overwhelming work load for the employee. For being a financially successful company it is beyond me why they refuse to hire enough staff needed for the job. Many employees are burned out and unhappy working here. Upper management has been approached concerning these issues and no corrective action steps were taken by them. Very poor upper management

    I worked at Panalpina

    Pros

Great staff. Most are hard-working middle class employees who pour their hearts into the work.

    Cons

Very poor upper management that refuses to listen to employees & correct problems at the lower level. Constantly changing procedures without giving proper time for the employees to adapt. Over-worked, tired & fed-up employees. Swarms are handing in resignations without another job to go to. No family/work balance. Never can do enough to keep management happy. Poor recognition and/or promotions unless you are a favorite.

I worked at Panalpina full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

It was a pleasure to work with the branch management and the employees.

    Cons

Too many upper management positions created. This company is so top heavy, I am surprised it hasn't tumbled.
