      Pros

-Diverse team -Managers genuinely want to see you succeed -Lots of opportunity to have an impact on the organization. Talented people really shine and get recognition -Sellers generally bring in a lot of business, very healthy account lists -Good work life balance

Good culture with limited growth opportunities

      Apr 22, 2021 - Account Manager

      Pros

The overall culture is great and the client services managers really support their team. You learn a lot at first and get a lot of help from teammates, so you never feel lost.

      Cons

Growth opportunities are limited, specifically in client services and the compensation isn’t great compared to similar roles at other companies. On top of that, unless you’re lucky enough to get promoted or move to another team, raises are only possible once a year during merit. Merit is not guaranteed and some people never get a raise, even after multiple years of working at the company.

      Pros

Work life balance, forward thinking tech, company communication and training programs

      Cons

Growth opportunities were dependent upon management’s decisions. There are some tremendous Leaders within the company but also a lot who are flying under the radar and complacent, holding back their employees.

Used to be good, turned toxic

Jan 22, 2021 - Product Designer in Oakland, CA

      Business Outlook

      Pros

Solid perks; working in music is fun; pretty diverse (though only in "lower level" jobs and not in upper management)

      Cons

Back in the day, working in design at Pandora was a dream that I could highly recommend: people we kind, the design and product teams were considerate towards users, and everyone tried to make the best product in an innovative and empathetic way. After the acquisition of the Rdio staff when Rdio went bankrupt, the culture in Pandora's product design department went down the tubes. The designers from Rdio were arrogant, disrespectful, bullying, and condescending to the existing design staff at Pandora. They even expressed hostility towards listening to users and user research. They seemed to care only for their own egos and they exhibited the most damaging habits of design culture in which designers only design for themselves. It's really sad because all of this ruined the previously healthy culture of the product design department at Pandora. Most of the existing Pandora product designers who were there at that time left because the working environment got so toxic. If that crew of folks is still running the show, beware.

      Pros

Can only speak to my time when we were Pandora, and not yet an entity of Sirius XM. Those years, it was great company culture and collaboration between departments. The environment was electric and everyone loved coming to work for such an iconic organization. You literally felt like you were a part of something great. We worked hard and played hard...there were long hours but you legitimately enjoyed every minute of the ride.

      Cons

Change is expected during an acquisition...but I don't think anyone could have expected such a sweeping blow to crucial internal teams and overall moral. I haven't heard great things about the new regime...which doesn't surprise me. Unfortunately I think so much change (much of which unneccessary) was made that this isn't even the same org I was a part of....
