    Pros

Collectively some of the nicest people. Competetive Pay for Southside company

    Cons

    Poor accountability.

    The personification of Groupthink.

Track record of creating an environment where most of the best talent has come and gone due to frustation, disorganization, consistantly changing targets, or failed commitments of promisses that are often not delivered.

Very much steeped in the buddy system and nepotism where employees that are liked or buddies of executives are given passes on poor performance in terms of the results that they deliver.

Matrix leadership is so convoluted that change management is extremely slow and often ineffective.

Turnover is VERY high for, at least at headquarters.

There is a lot of “leadership” from people without the educational or professional experience to justify their standing in the roles they hold.

Unwilling to make necessary investments in resources and people to achieved stated goals… not walking the walk. Expectations to drive $100M of results with fraction of necessary inputs to achieved stated goals thus resulting in many who are over worked and/or anxious about their job security.

Resistance to align various organizations to assure proper strategic alignment of stated objectives…. Too many people self-interested in their own power centers.

Lastly, this is a company that has collectively failed to acknowledge the commodization of its products and there is not enough differentiation of its products and offerings that justify its historic price premiums. This does not bode well for long term growth and sustainability of the company in its current structure which means that a major change in the business formation is inevitable with the current offerings.

    Pros

Fringe Benefits @ least it's a job is all I can say

    Cons

Stalker management/Liars, can't trust, looks down on employees

    Advice to Management

Stop looking down on people/workers with skills, they are feeding you and paying your bills, be honest, stop lying, deceitful, downsize managers, too many chiefs, no indians, keep getting rid of workers, who is going to do the work? Managers can't. they think their too good.

    I worked at Panduit full-time

    Pros

Good work-life balance, good pay, good opportunities for training.

    Cons

Very, very political, super-conservative, yes-man friendly. Performance is rarely recognized if not accompanied by correct political moves. Management/supervisor protection is mandatory. Stepping on toes is deadly.

    Advice to Management

Clear the deck and bring in outside people. Welcome unique ideas and thinkers. Encourage innovation. Create much more diversity it upper management; minorities and women. Values are given air-time but not followed in practice.

    Pros

Pay is decent. Plenty of shifts.

    Cons

The only way to get a promotion is to be related to someone or to be sleeping with someone. They play favorites openly and lie to the employee constantly. Keep an eye on your paycheck also because they mess that up regularly as well and will steal your pay without so much as an apology.

    Advice to Management

Wake up people keep leaving for a reason.

    Pros

Some overtime potential, fair healthcare costs, simple job. Time went by easily on shift at night, shift differential was a great to have.

    Cons

Constant blame always placed on others. Management is a bear to deal with. No real room to move up, if you excel at your job, don't plan on moving up in rank. Plenty of office politics, you have to either go to church with management or be a family member to move up. Coworkers are unmotivated and lean towards the elderly side. Not a very high morale in the company.

    Advice to Management

Promote people based on work ethic and competency, not on who you are friends with. I watched many people get looked over due to the problems listed above.

    "Pricing"

    Pros

Very nice office, huge cafeteria with full staff, and that's about it, not much more to say really but that.

    Cons

At least in my department of pricing, managers on both edi and iei played favorites. Was very cliquey like it would be in high school. They didn't want to have the burden of taking employees on as actual Panduit employees, so they only hired contractors. The contractors do a bunch of work without getting any of the benefits. Staffing agencies make it seem like it is a temp to hire position. It's not. Some actual Panduit employees don't even feel like they are employees. Very micro managed and only care about sales, nothing else.

    Advice to Management

Treat employees with a little more respect for the value that they bring. Sales people don't mean everything to the company.

    Pros

    Good pay, bonus, benefits, people..

    Cons

Upper management expectations are not realistic. They always look for fall guys when they make mistakes on their plans. Process is a heavy burden. They over complicate everything. This could be great place if they removed some of the people at the top.

    Advice to Management

Quit looking for someone to blame. Look in the mirror. Develop plans that are reasonable.
