I worked at Panera Bread part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy to bond with friendly co-workers. Discount on food. No greasy foods to work with. They provide apron and hat.

    Cons

Management makes empty promises. They don't want to give over time so they under schedule then overwork the people who are scheduled. They don't give employees many hours so they quit in a short time (very high turn over rate). Never expect a raise. No working a/c (specifically at the one I work at). Lots of drama between management. Hamra is the worst of the Panera's to work for. Stay clear.

    Advice to Management

Take care of the employees that work hard and have been there for a while. Stop the drama between management.

I worked at Panera Bread full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The food at Panera bread is a little over price but good.

    Cons

High employee turn over rate from the upper management to the lower management. Low pay with too many task required or short staff for many shifts.

    Advice to Management

    Treat your people better

I worked at Panera Bread part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Decent wage and free food at the end of the day if the managers are nice

    Cons

Always put on dishes, you get stuck in one position, people don't show up a lot, never have a manager that lasted longer than a year

    Advice to Management

Make me feel like your happy I was part of the 5 people who showed up everyday.

    Pros

Good if you like baked goods. Good experience if you want to go into the fast food industry. Very Popular. Good experience with high volumes. Could possibly be OK depending on your location and supervisors.

    Cons

Lofty expectations from both customers and corporate. High quality of life and opportunity for growth presented during recruitment and training but ultimately not delivered. Bottom line is that the promises for growth in the company and quality of life are a dangling carrot.

    Advice to Management

Have the actual culture and internal atmosphere of Panera bread match the concept essence

    Cons

always making more paperwork but no one ever read it, very slow on making decisions,, constantly changing how to run things but providing little time to do it. Always made to feel like were not doing a good job by the DM. Training staff always contradicting themselves

    Advice to Management

get out in the trenches more, listen to what your managers are saying

    Pros

Fast Growing Company, Great job for High School Kids

    Cons

Very one sided...It's all about making money. Team members work very hard and are not valued. A lot of favoritism goes on within top leadership!

    Advice to Management

Inspect what you expect. Playing favoritism will hurt you. Pay your team members for all hours worked!!!
