I have been working at Panera Bread part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The food, discount lol, the people, the ambiance and the pay!

    Cons

The only thing I don't like is when you're working dining room, you can't wear gloves which sucks because you're literally picking up silverware and bowls covered in the public's germs and left of food. it's disgusting

    Advice to Management

Let us wear gloves in the dining room! Please and thanks 😁

I have been working at Panera Bread full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    -very competitive wages
    -reasonable hours with some flexibility
    -easy work, no actual cooking
    -room for growth/advancement

I recently got hired on as a Catering Coordinator at Panera Bread. Having worked in several full service restaurants, I can tell you that it's difficult to find a place where not only are the people warm and friendly, but everyone really seems to be part of the team. I work in a cafe that does triple the business it was built for, so it's very crowded, and it can get absolutely crazy sometimes. So far, however, I have yet to see anyone get mad and yell at each other, there's no uncomfortable grab-assing, everything is clean and professional. There are many trainers and leaders making up a very strong support structure. Training is, while a tad long winded, extremely thorough and informative.

    Cons

I work in a cafe with 80+ employees, and as a result there are some folks that don't get along as exquisitely as the rest. There is a little bit of drama among the younger staff, while supervisors seem to be a little too quick to pat themselves on the back for being essentially babysitters. That being said, it's still a good environment overall.

    Advice to Management

Management is knowledgeable, capable, and friendly. My managers all seem to be doing exactly what they are supposed to be doing

I have been working at Panera Bread full-time

    Pros

Strong and visionary leadership by the founder and his leadership team. Hires great talent at every level. Keeps workload manageable. Work organized into projects and carefully tracked. Funding is really tight.

    Cons

The founder is so passionate and involved that he makes it hard for other leaders to feel a proper sense of ownership. The company is full of bright and talented people of every kind. However, there is not one woman or person of color in the 16-member management team.
