I worked at Panera Bread part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    -discounted or free food
-great people, both customers and coworkers
    -competitive pay

    Cons

Panera is set up behind the counter as an actual restaurant, where most people see it as a fast food alternative. Working at Panera is going to be harder than working at McDonalds. Period.

    Advice to Management

Listen to your employees, talk to them. A friendly environment is a happy environment.

I have been working at Panera Bread part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

flexible schedules, fun people to work with, discount on food

    Cons

impossible to get full time, just like any other job you deal with rude customers daily, not enough pay for what we do, management favors certain people and instead of giving you hours they cut them

    Advice to Management

management should be nicer to the associates and stop favoring certain people. give associates a chance to get more hours if they ask. stop giving the same people 40 hours a week and even it out.

I worked at Panera Bread part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a great food company with many healthy and indulgent options.

    Cons

There were inconsistent hours and preference given to specific employees. There were several manager changes and each had his or her own demands and expectations that made for inconsistent expectations for each work shift. I could be assigned menial tasks as a form of reactionary punishment. There were many evenings we were under staffed and would be overwhelmed by customer demand and insufficient work staff that had little care for detail or for amending customer issues.

    Advice to Management

Please continue to hire reliable, helpful and pleasant staff to work with and serve customers.
