I have been working at Panera Bread full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

No jerks policy, pay is fair. They donate unused baked goods at the end of each day to local soup kitchens and pantries. I am a BTS, which is essentially an assistant manager for the bakery operations team. Its fast, never boring work. I tell new hires its the only job I have ever had where I watch the clock wishing for more time, not less.

    Cons

Bakery team and retail team are very seperate. Seperate managment, seperate jobs, and the bakers work thirds and staff cafes through out the market (work in multiple cafes) so there is a gap in understanding and often the retail staff doesnt do enough to support the bakers or understand their job.

    Advice to Management

    Listen to your people.

I have been working at Panera Bread part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I've worked at Panera for 6 months and already met two of the bosses above my GM.
My GM is awesome and cares about those who work for him.
The people who work for Panera are very friendly and eager to make new friends while serving their customers.
Sixty-five percent off my food(while working there, of course).

    Cons

No unicorns. No rainbows. No five pound cookies. ;-)

    Advice to Management

    You guys are GREAT!

I have been working at Panera Bread part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

The general manager, and all the managers are really great at the Kennesaw Location! All the employees are also really nice, and helpful.

    Cons

I don't really have any cons. Other than I have put on a few more pounds from eating so much bread, but Panera bread really does have some of the best bread around.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the great work!

I worked at Panera Bread part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great for part time work, I was able to make a living and have free time

    Cons

Towards the end of my time there it became too understaffed and I was filling in double shifts atleast 3 times a week

    Advice to Management

Plan around for when people send in their two weeks notice

I worked at Panera Bread part-time

    Pros

Panera Bread is one of the best company's to work for as a part time cashier job. Remember that you are a liaison to the customer, which for your future career is a skill you should not sell short. My advice use that skill as leverage for the rest of your career. A good listener is sometimes all anyone ever needs in business.

    Cons

That being said you are a liaison to the people, and people can be difficult.

Takes a lot of time, in the beginning it can be bumpy along the way to adjust to their management standards
