I have been working at Papa John's part-time

    Pros

    Flexible scheduling, and easy job.

    Cons

No benefits, and no annual/6 month/quarterly raises. Customers can be difficult on busier days.

    Advice to Management

Give raises to those that deserve it. Some workers have to pick up the slack because people can be lazy.

I have been working at Papa John's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

They are extremely flexible with your schedule and the people there are nice and friendly. You catch on pretty quick and it is an easy job.

    Cons

The pay is garbage. There is an employee that has worked there for 2 years and has never gotten a raise. Also the environment is bad as well.

    Advice to Management

Maybe raise the pay rate to complement the amount of work that is put in.

    Pros

U learn team work. Skill set like cleaning cooking, Counting how to communicate with customer & other people. I been there over ten year. It good when u have a good manager who been around a while.

    Cons

Turn over rate crazy. So not so many bright light in the building including management. Every blue moon. Customer scamming always wanting food for free. Always over time never any raises. No breaks at all. And because some one decide to still mean no one in the buildings can eat. On a 8 hr+shift. no time, off no vacation. Overall don't care bought employee.

    Advice to Management

Be more open with employee as well as break go by the rules papa John's made write up for a reason. Break on in the computer for a reason. Please don't overwhelmed your staff when ur staff is hungry, over work,or sleepy it can be dangerous for driver. Emplament team work.faspac and papa. Store that actually took that seriously I liked working for.

I have been working at Papa John's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

It's a pretty easy job. Not really all that stressful, and the job is rather enjoyable if you meet good people, which I have. Improves your sense of direction.

    Cons

Expect overtime frequently - the longest overtime I've ever worked was almost 5 hours longer than scheduled, though that's an extreme case. The job is extremely demanding on your car.

    Advice to Management

    N/A

I have been working at Papa John's part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Decent Tips and per trip fees. Tips.Trip Fees paid daily. Tasks are simple. Most other employees are personable, Uniforms (shorts/hats) provided. Fairly flexible scheduling. Food often available at no charge. Employee discount is decent. 401K now available with some matching funds.

    Cons

Very challenging to work more than 20 hours per week. PJ uses Tip Credit for drivers, so you are making only $4.25/hr when delivering, then minimum wage when in store, Car gets beat up pretty badly. No benefits, just an expensive non-compliant reimbursement plan for health, dental, vision, and hospital. Little to no training. Managers can be abusive, petty, and often discuss employee issues and gossip with other employees. Managers often cheat to meet their numbers. No one to hear complaints at district or corporate level (complaints are just sent back to the local manager to handle.) Managers often retaliate by significantly shortening your hours or scheduling you for "bad" shifts. Must look over your shoulder for other drivers stealing other driver's deliveries. The more experienced drivers cherry pick the customers they know tip well. No formal employee review/feedback. Managers frequently lie about "corporate policy" to get away with these behaviors.

    Advice to Management

Care more about your employees; open an anonymous method for employees to voice concerns to prevent manager retaliation/fraud/theft. Learn to reward loyal employees who arrive on time and word hard at meeting PJ quality initiatives, rather than those who cut corners to beat the delivery clock.
