I have been working at Papa John's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Easy job (other than dangers involved with driving a lot)
Decent income if working a lot of hours (either opening or closing)
Good managers make for a good work environment. Great managers attempt to accomodate needs of their employees outside of what many employers would (time off, specific availability, etc).
Definitely possible to move up in the ranks (towards management) if you choose to take on that stress with little tangible reward for a very long time.
Free time in the car makes for good book/music listening

    Cons

Corporate will spit on you. Increasing menu prices & delivery fees, "Papa Priority" orders and expectation of extremely fast order delivery despite extremely busy service times sometimes with very very few employees working without a penny of additional pay to the insiders or drivers. Recently rolled out GPS car toppers to save on their own insurance so drivers must control their vehicles like elderly people in order to avoid getting points knocked off for accelerating, braking, or turning too quickly, resulting in slower (and questionable if safer) deliveries, lower tip income, and more piled up deliveries at the store during rush periods

    Advice to Management

General managers: keep your team accountable for the work they're supposed to do. Don't let someone slack off just because you know someone else will pick up the work because "someone has to do it." If someone's not pulling their weight, discuss it with them. If they don't improve, get rid of them. TONS of people are available for menial labor like this. No need to keep someone around who thinks they're indisposable while not performing their job. Make sure your shift leaders don't go on power trips (they might have keys to the store but they're not the head honcho: they reinforce what the big boss says, not make up rules of their own), hold them accountable for getting the store closed up on time and not keeping the grunts around for hours after their shift ended (with some small exceptions to accomodate for unexpected rushes).

    As for corporate...PAY YOUR EMPLOYEES.

I have been working at Papa John's full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Set your own schedule, good training, reputable brand.

    Cons

Lots of weekends, corporate likes to set you up for failure.

    Advice to Management

Corporate needs to get some better marketing strategies, online system needs to be revamped, and franchise needs more benefits and stop worrying so much about how make more money for themselves.

I have been working at Papa John's part-time

    Pros

Cash at the end of the night.

    Cons

4.25 per hour plus around $1.10 per delivery even though they charge $3 for the delivery fee. Eats away at tips. Have to carry your own insurance, if you get hurt they will pay medical bill you will have to take care of your car.
