I have been working at Papa John's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

There are plenty of oppurtunity to move up in the company. Most stores are willing to work with schedules, especially with drivers.

    Cons

Compensation in some positions is not worth the trouble. Depending on business, you can be scheduled 40 hours but leave with 30 becsuse you get sent home early

    Advice to Management

I think that 'papa john' needs to visit some stores and actually get to know his employees rather than just assuming that everyone loves his company. I just want the Founder to understand what us little people feel like. I have worked with so many different people who have seen with the company your years who have never met, seen or even heard rumor that John had visited stores. I think that if he paid more attention to his employees he wouldn't have such a high turn over rate. Maybe in my franchise anyway.

    I worked at Papa John's part-time

    Pros

Easy going environment, most people are likable, GM supports you and your mistakes by showing you options rather than shaming you. When its good-its fantastic!

    Cons

Unreliable co-workers, having to cover other people's shifts ALL THE TIME, inconsistencies between managers.

    Advice to Management

Hold employees accountable when they don't show up and/or don't do their job while at work, then follow through with that accountability. IE. 1 no-call-no-show=1 write up, once they hit 3, the employment is terminated. When an employee calls out, having a valid reason (dr appt) make sure they send you a Dr note for proof. Holding employees accountable will help make the environment more pleasurable. Team work is one thing, constantly doing another person's job is another.

I have been working at Papa John's full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great coworkers. A lot of good customers make things a lot easier. I am appreciated by my bosses and am told quite frequently.

    Cons

There are a lot of customers that just want things for free and will make your life hell to get it.

    Advice to Management

Be willing to pay more to those who work hard. It's not fair to work twice as hard as another coworker for 25 extra cents and hour
