I have been working at Papa John's part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Schedule is really flexible, getting to take home cash every night is a plus. Working at a store that's really busy is even better, since you have the choice to take more orders and make more money (i.e. St. Charles location). People are pretty cool too, I love all my co-workers and managers

    Cons

There's been plenty of nights I don't get off when I'm supposed to (sometimes a couple hours late) just because it's been so busy. Also, certain areas aren't the safest. Being a female, especially, having to keep your guard up is never fun.

    Advice to Management

Try to get employees out within a decent time. I know it gets busy, but it burns you out when your there hours over when you're supposed to be off.

    Pros

Fast paced, fun work environment. Managers are hands on. (could be a con for some) Good place to grow from within. Good Bonus paid monthly.

    Cons

Take acceptance of the life style. A lot of hours any time of day or night. Work/life balance can be a challenge.

I have been working at Papa John's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The joy of slapping, making pizzas and talking to colleagues and that's basically it.... I'm sorry but there isn't a lot of pros.

    Cons

Very demanding, always want you to do everything in the shop i.e. Cleaning all the time, prepping all the toppings, long hours plus minimum pay, didn't always get paid on time, had to pay for snack/drink I would like to have (50% off which doesn't make a big difference), the manager expecting you to know everything after been shown ONCE on how to do it, no paid holiday or sick pay, the owner was very cheap made sure you cut all the topping to a smaller size to ensure he made more money, some stuff I had to learn myself as I wasn't taught e.g. Prepping some vegetables, topping up had to be done regularly and also counting all the dips, filling the fridge was my responsibility. And finally, I had to do as much of the things said above in the shortest amount of time making the job VERY demanding and also starting 30mins before rush hour giving me not enough time to prep the toppings in time. And finally as my hours was not scheduled I wouldn't know what time I would finish until 10 mins
Before or less in some cases making it unfair for me. The list goes on and on.....

And let's not forget the owner and how he comes to the shop without greeting and speaking to his employees instead,he goes straight to the computers and look at how much money was made complaints saying there wasn't enough sales, then looks around the shop to ensure everything is done and then greets everyone..

    Advice to Management

Having better pay for there employees!, be less demanding as everything can be done but not in 10/20mins and also treat your employees nicely instead of being demanding as it makes the work environment not joyful and fun to work in..
