    I have been working at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen full-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    very flexible schedule...can work as little or as much as you'd like (up to 40 hours a week)

    Cons

    possibility of putting in so much work for no little to no gratuity...also, no cap on tip pool, and no automatic gratuity applied to guest check...

    Advice to Management

    ...look out more for the servers, as far as getting stiffed!

    I have been working at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen part-time for more than 10 years

    Pros

    Decent enough money to keep you coming back for ten years in a row! Almost always packed with customers and a very short busy season compared with other restaurants in San Antonio, TX.

    Cons

    We have had 5 different General Managers in 10 years which makes it difficult to keep up with new directions. Also the uniform is very extensive including mandatory dry cleaning and a "bank" of $50 of your own money.

    Pros

    Bar tenders and waiters usually make great money. At least $100 at the end of a shift on any given day.

    Cons

    Revolving door management They're not the best with flexibility in scheduling... be warr if you're a student working.

    Pros

    Great training to be a waitress. Menu is expensive so you have the ability to upsale and make great tips. Management really made sure you learned the menu items.

    Cons

    Strict standard on introductions (when you approach the customer for the first time) so made it seem less personable. Had to study the menu in depth.

    Don't require everything to be served on a tray (i.e. one small appetizer plate)

    Great food ok prices, it is very upscale.

    Cons

    If you no nothing about the restaurant business you can get a job there. If you have a bachelors degree you can manage the place even if you have no idea what you are doing or any restaurant experience. Some people in the back are ignorant and have burned other employees as a joke. If you get hurt, even if it major they do not call an ambulance they drop you off in front of a hospital. The people that get paid the most...
